Walking Mode instead draws a simple route you read at a glance and follow at your own pace. SAVE, SEARCH AND IMPORT WAYPOINTS Stand where you are and tap save, drop a pin on the map, type coordinates in decimal or DMS, search a place by name, or import a GPX file — and export your list to back it up. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL The compass is the core and works fully offline — direction and distance computed on-device from GPS, at sea, on a mountain, or in airplane mode. Place search and Walking Mode are secondary extras that need a connection.
