About

A field journal for the road — part notebook, part detective’s case file, part gadget kit. Waypoint Ledger blends a beautifully old-school paper journal with a set of tools built for people who spend time outdoors, on the road, or chasing down a story: routes, photos, voice memos, and a few surprising extras. FEATURES A real journal Turn pages like a real book. Write freeform entries with text, sketches, and photos, and sign off with a proper pen-and-ink signature. Maps that do more than show you where you are Track a route with distance and time estimates, drop pins with your own notes, sketch directly onto the map in red pen, and save the whole annotated view as an image. Tap any restaurant, shop, or landmark to see what’s known about it. Camera tools with a purpose • A presence-detecting camera with switchable visual effects • A document scanner with automatic edge detection and multi-page support • A photo analyzer that reads text and identifies what’s in a picture — including a live mode with on-device translation Voice memos, one tap away Start recording straight from your Home Screen — no need to fully open the app. Tap again to stop and save. Case files Group related entries — and even outside files — into named folders, like a proper dossier. A retro field meter A magnetometer-driven gadget with a satisfyingly analog look, for reading the electromagnetic noise around you. Real physics, playful presentation. Weather-aware The background and the mood of the app shift with the actual weather and time of day. Search Find any entry by title, note, or scanned text. Private by design Everything stays on your device. No account, no tracking, no cloud sync required. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

What's New in WaypointLedger

2.4

October 6, 2026

NEW: MIDNIGHT ROAD – a hunter's board game, playable anytime An unknown number is calling. Pick up, and the case is yours. - Unknown calls – every case starts with a stranger on the line: a night nurse, a gas station clerk, a park ranger. They tell you what they saw. - Hit the road – watch your car drive across the map to the next city. On the way, a roadside curio shop lets you take one potion for the road. - One night per case – investigate seven locations before midnight. Every visit costs an hour. There isn't time to visit every location. - Read the signs – some clues are real, some are false leads. Roll the dice to track them and find out which is which. - The case report – keep the evidence, compare the signs, strike out suspects, then name the creature. - Call Bobby – stuck? He'll check his books and rule out a suspect. And sometimes he shows up in the middle of a fight with an extra shot. - The trunk – pick three things that really work on what you're facing. Every right choice is an extra die. - The showdown – roll the dice, use your potions, survive the claws. - Difficulty levels – cases range from one to three stars, and every creature has its own threat level. The more cases you close, the harder the calls get. - 20 creatures – including five new ones you'll only meet on the road. - Climb the ranks from Rookie to Legend of the Road. ALSO NEW - The Dustiest Book now holds 15 creatures, including the Fallen Angel and the Demon. - Visit Zlegend Shop – find it in the Journal menu. - Bug fixes and polish.
