ai slop + false advertisement

when i first downloaded the app, it advertised about 5 times that there was a free 7 day trial and it was $0, completely free, i go to start the free trial and it says my card declined so i just said whatever and didn't sign up. when i clicked on my venmo, this app tried to take $25!!!!! after saying multiple times that it was completely free. i used the free "coins" they give you and tried the filter and it over edited my picture and made it look completely ai generated. terrible app

Response from developer

Hi, I’m walle, the product manager. Thank you for explaining what happened. Expecting a free trial and then seeing an attempted $25 charge would understandably be upsetting, especially when the photo results also disappointed you. Our app does not offer a $25 purchase or subscription option, so I’d like to help clarify whether that payment attempt was connected to our app. Could you check the merchant or app name associated with the transaction in Venmo? Please contact us through Settings → Email Us with those details, leaving out sensitive payment information. I can’t confirm the source from your review alone, and I don’t want to dismiss your concern or give you an explanation that may be wrong. As for the photo, adding a style should still leave you looking like you. Our planned September 30 update will offer four versions at different intensity levels, starting with the digicam style. But more choices may not fully address what disappointed you. What would you want the filter to preserve—and would adjusting its intensity actually help? We’d appreciate hearing your perspective through the same email channel. walle · Product Manager

Non-disclosed AI use

Done some digging in the app and it actually has inherent AI enhancement. There’s an option in settings that disables the AI training, but it’s not enough for me since I don’t wanna use AI at all. I wish it was disclosed on the App Store description. There are many good apps that edit pics just as well manually.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and for digging into the settings to understand how the app works. You're right that transparency about AI features matters, and we appreciate you calling this out — we'll pass the note about clearer disclosure along to the team so people can make an informed choice before downloading. We're also glad you found the toggle to disable AI training, even if a fully AI-free experience isn't something the app offers today. If you have more thoughts on what you'd like to see, or specific manual editing workflows you'd want us to prioritize, we'd genuinely love to hear them — please feel free to reach out via Settings → Email Us so we can follow up directly.

fake advertising

The advertisement on social media and other apps showed the results I wish I had gotten! Every single photo uploaded my face, skin color, and shape changed! The ads show what I actually want but this app doesn’t preform at all! It completely morphed me in all photos! I am super disappointed and frustrated with this app!

Hi Frenchhh, I’m walle, the product manager. Thank you for trying the app and being direct with us. You paid for photos of yourself, and the results made you look unfamiliar. I understand why that felt like a waste of money. We’re sorry. Adding a style should still leave you looking like you. Our planned September 30 update will offer four versions at different intensity levels, so you have more control over how much the photo changes. This will start with the digicam style only. I don’t want to pretend that more options will automatically solve what went wrong for you. We may still be missing what matters most. What would we need to preserve for an edit to feel like you—and would choosing the intensity actually help? If you’re open to telling us, please reach out through Settings → Email Us. Your perspective would help us understand whether we’re addressing the right problem. walle · Product Manager

Disoriented photos

I saw this as an ad and it looked very promising and I love the idea of it. I downloaded and tried it on my pictures and it really disoriented my face and just made everything a little bit bigger, I was disappointed and even more so knowing that then they charge you for it. If I wasn’t in my free trial phase, I would’ve been very irritated if that was the result I got.
