Useless Notifications
I like to stay up to date on local news but when I set my notifications to “breaking” only and then get CONSTANT notifications about unimportant things, it’s very frustrating. Update this please.
Best School Closings App
App works fine but content is always outdated. If you’re looking for news from the last day or two, look elsewhere. School closings list is usually up to date and the only reason I keep the app.
App ok, content awful
Opened an article, and the first thing I saw was the town misspelled. Clicked the video link and there were FOUR ads before the video ran. And then the video was a totally different story than what it was supposed to be.

How can you get Jim Raftis’ name wrong? Can’t your field reporters understand English or are they just deaf? I was taught to ask someone to spell a name I wasn’t familiar with before quoting them or about them.
Lazy
Amazing how many of these stories are aided by AI descriptions, and never proofread, as each day I find 5-10 spelling mistakes on this app. But what do you expect from a news group which is more interested in video and image, rather than substance.

Why is this station so biased when news that’s reported should not be biased but I’m curious do you have to be a democrat to work for your station which I’m sure you have to be I’m so disappointed in your bias ways
Power outages
I went to WBNG app for the first time today. I was looking for information on the power outage.
NOTHING was on the site about the power outage.
So much for using my phone when there’s a power failure.

Very disappointed that the app doesn’t open and sports is inadaquent recently with local sports (new events) not present

Every time I try to live stream from the app all I get is a 15 second UHS add. Th app will not let me a live stream the local news or weather I want to see.
Closings and delays
Why did it change? NOT convenient not to see all closings and delays listed at once and appears you have to ask individually.

If you want weekend news you’ve come to the wrong place.

No news being posted
Despite telling us to follow them on the app for the latest news, they do not update the stories on this app. It’s a pathetic waste of time unless you want to relook at news from a couple days ago. Just don’t expect any follow-up info.
Updating news on weekends.
Stale news on App. For example Monday morning the top story is a news story ftom Saturday.

This app was great since I work in a school and have closings with bad weather, but I don’t know what happened. It would install but then not load, it looks like its working but it stays on the 12 news screen
Poor news
Don’t try so hard to keep up with the big channels, concentrate and upgrade all local news, get out and find out what’s going on in the southern tier!!!!
Unhappy with an app that I can no longer use
This app was updated a couple months ago. I have been unable to open it since that time. I've even removed it from my device and downloaded it again with no success. I've had to switch to another local news app to get local information. If the technical issues were corrected, I would rate this app higher.

App Not Loading
The latest version of this app doesn’t appear to work anymore… it just stays on the 12 News splash screen and shows a progress spinner forever.
Update 11/24/21:
Seems that enabling location services allowed the content to load. The app should be able to function when this feature is disabled.

Real news??
Real news is not being reported. Very disappointed in WBNG. Weather is not accurate and the news app does not appear to be updated on the weekend. 👎👎
