Reading vs watching
What I like about this app is that I can read articles connected to what I am interested in including local news stories. However, the videos are much more frustrating, especially recently. For example, this morning I tried to click on a link supposed to show info about the school systems merging In Catawba Co. After watching 3 minutes of commercials it went to a different story and then 6 more commercials. I was about to close it after 3 commercials but wanted to hear the story so I waited and then was especially frustrated after I came to more commercials without the clip I wanted to see which I never saw.

Update more often
Needs to be updated more I don’t want to see 3 day old news. Needs to be within 24 to 36 hours not 3 or 4 days old
Hate the sound
I hate that there’s no way to cut off the sound when I click on an article. Myself and anyone around me should not have to hear what I’m reading.

Forced commercial upon launch
Click on news alert and I have to watch a commercial to get to the news. No way around it. Uninstall.

It always shows a badge but I can never get it to go away. So frustrating
Ads sticking to the screen and can not be closed.
I tried to go to their web site to leave app support. But there was no app support there. So that is why O gave a one star rating.
The app is opening and the ad pops right to the middle. No way to move or close it. That means you can not read the story. Tried to close or move the ad. It just took me to the advertiser.
Fix this and maybe I ca upgrade to five stars.

Useless alerts and notifications
The notifications and titles and those notifications and alerts never match any of the content that I can find on the app and that is assuming I get past the ads this is not the best news app at all.
Deleted…Too many ads!!!!
“Bus of orphans and puppies involved in fatal crash”… proceeds to click, get spammed for two minutes by rooms to go ads for kids furniture… followed by “you won’t believe what elder people are doing in your area” or “Do this before midnight if you live in charlotte, nc” click bait ads… If I didn’t know better, I’d never believe this was a professional media source. WCNC is the way to go. More professional and much better app.

Leave things alone
They changed app. Difficult to navigate and see what you want.
Stop autoplay on full volume!!!

This is not a good app. I can’t get the breaking news to clear and sometimes when you click on an item in breaking news it goes back to my home page. It needs some major work.

Downloads way too slow. Go back to simple stories and cut out all the pics.

Too many ads and pop ups
Used to be a decent app but now too many ads and pop ups lag the app and misdirect notifications
Text size and dark mode
This app doesn’t follow dark mode and text size that I have in my phone settings like other apps do. I rarely check in because the words are too small and it’s too bright. Will you fix this?
Pop Up Ads Ruined This App
I’m a long time WBTV viewer and have used their app for years. But recently they’ve decided to subject users to a ridiculous amount of pop-up ads before even entering the app. Once you get into the app, you click on a story and guess what! Another obnoxious ad. Deleting this app. It’s a shame what you’ve done.

I realize you need ad revenue to keep this website going. But the proliferation of inane, misleading and unuseful ads will lead me to close down this application.
More ads than news
I tried for a long time to stay with this app to get local news but the last link I clicked on today (by mistake) within your app took me to a site that started saying was “scanning my network”. That was it. You guys gotta do a better job approving what comes up within your app! I deleted your app.
