March 2026 App update
New app update was designed for advertisers, not viewers. Removing full newscasts and forcing us to click through a dozen 'segmented' clips is a blatant move to juice ad revenue at the expense of the user experience.

Garbage coomercials, random ad walls, all of the sponsored links work, but guess what??? The actual headline links don't work at all!! If you love getting stupid updates at 0700 and hate when an app works correctly, this garbage app is for garbage people just like you!!

Why all the ads and false links. It is a shame when you come to this app to get latest news or weather information and instead you get ads.

Very annoying excessive ads and difficulty navigating and loading!
iPad
App in my apple iPad does not rotate to landscape. This is a recent change. The weather app does rotate. Something has changed. All other apps work and auto rotate.
Sick of the clickbait notification headlines
The notifications that this app sends are pure clickbait. They are not helpful, and you are forced to open the app and sift through all the ads in order to actually get the information that should be in the notification headline
Not in landscape
I absolutely hate this update. It will not open in landscape for reading on my IPad. I don’t really use it anymore.
News printing is too small
The print for the stories is much too small to comfortably read. Characters need to be enlarged.
Too many ads
Too many ads. Ads are very difficult to navigate around.
Can’t get past first ad
When launching the app, half the time the ad will load. I close it, the. It reopens, preventing use of the app. Bad developers it seems.
Updates not good!!!!!
The updated app will not display landscape and I am primarily a iPad user with a keyboard. It is too aggravating to pick up my device and turn it sideways when I have a keyboard attached so I will not be using this app until fixed, and until now, it was my go-to local news app. Must be the same folks that did the update to SCFCU in Charleston that really messed up theirs too….really, how hard is it to compile for use in landscape. I have not even reviewed the other pros and cons of the update due to the display issue.

This news app is horrible and does not fit my IPad. You folks have really messed it up this time. I thought, Delete
Too Much Advertising
They changed it and added so much advertising that the app has now become unusable.
The old app was fine
Most of the stories will not open when you click on them, but magically advertisements open instantly. When you think you're about to read a story, some loudmouth car salesman's ad starts up. I've had to turn off notifications because someone feels like it's necessary to send out multiple alerts about the low country morning. I really used to like live 5 but they've decided to sell out instead of offer the quality news they used to.

Privacy? Beware
Do not like the fact that the app misleads you into accepting the fact that you will be tracked @ your information sold. You have to take steps to have your information concealed via more than one link deep in the settings.
Why do I have to turn my iPad to view the news?
You guys changed, I now look at channels 2 & 4 because I don’t have to turn my iPad! I’m old so set in my ways, you guys used to be my no. 1 pick!
App Freezes
Downloaded app a couple days ago. When a push notification comes through, the app freezes on the logo, so can't read the article. Other than that, it's good to keep up with the local news.
New changes
No orientation on iPad, new list form terrible. Big step down
