Word Braille

Braille is fun, easy, and useful for vissually impaired people. This is a great one!

Great for practicing

Simple, fun game for all ages for anyone wanting to practice Braille. Probably not the best for learning, but it really helps me to remember all 26 braille letters! Completely recommend to anyone wanting to learn braille for any reason. 5/5 stars.

Good Practice

I’m not good at word searches so it’s nice to have the timer off. I’m still learning Braille. This game is helping.

An expanded dictionary would be welcome as there are many words that the game will not accept.

Racial slur

I downloaded another app by this developer to practice my braille. I was appalled when one of the words was a racial slur against Latinx. I emailed the developer in case it was a mistake.

His reply: “People see what they want to see. I'm not responsible for a tiny fraction of the population that wants to see something that was never intended.
There is no issue to rectify. Since I use the same database of words in other apps I'd suggest you never download another app of mine just to be safe.”

Even if I was wrong (which I wasn’t and proceeded to show him through multiple definitions from from online dictionaries) this was not an appropriate response.

I would give a negative rating if I could. This is not acceptable.

Braille puzzle

Very addictive, and has improved my Braille recognition speed.
I do wish I could make sense of the scoring system, and change the length of time on the timer. It seems to be all or nothing. The scoring has no voice over, so I have no idea which words score best or why. Highest so far ...620, but I have no idea what that signifies other than I spend too much time on this. Good work!
