When I downloaded this app I have been a Jazz listener for more 50 years. I figured these young wippersnappers must have figured out jazz and blues and holding the signal better than just playing the radio. I found out there’s more to the app than just tinkering with the knobs. I found the archives to be very interesting. If you were sitting on the fence about choosing music like jazz and blues, this is the place.

Old time radio
I love listening to the old Time radio show on Saturdays. But many times I just do not have the reception to listen to the show on my radio. So this app has really made it easy for me.

In need of update
I really enjoy this app if I'm listening to current content. However, the archives are quite difficult to navigate with VoiceOver. Even scrolling through the screen, I can't consistently locate every item. Please correct.

Easy way to listen to jazz
Whether streaming or looking for archived shows, the app is easy to navigate. Events calendars (separated into jazz and blues, hurrah!) and even a sleep timer are on the app. It’s pretty robust.
Great station
Saturdays are my favorite. The programs throughout the day match my interest starting in the morning with the old time jazz programs, the big band, a little bit of those were the days, more big band, and then blues on Saturday night. It’s important to me so I support this station Every year. Give it a try.

I’ve only recently begun to appreciate jazz music, and I feel doubly lucky to live in Chicagoland. One day, I turned on an old radio in my garage and it happened to be tuned to 90.9 FM WDCB - I was instantly hooked!
After a few days of listening, I realized WDCB is a .org station, which means no annoying commercials - just great music. Then I discovered their mobile app, and now I listen everywhere: at home, in the car, and at my small business.
The app is free and easy to use, with a clean layout and great sound quality. I especially love the built-in playlists - they show me the artist and song titles as they play, which is perfect for someone like me who’s still learning bands and albums. No need to use SoundHound or guess what I just heard! Works great on iOS and MacBook.
