Plays file types WD can't
WD my cloud over internet away from home can't play a ton of file type videos. With this app I can navigate to file and a pop up window says "open in". I then pick a media player. I like VLC so I pick open in VLC (assuming you've pre installed that app). The one trick is go into settings and flick off or on the WLAN option to get this to work away from home. Wish the WD native app had open in option. This app is incredible.

My entire network and 2 NAS CLOUDS comprise of WD products. I was blown out of the water when I attempted to render my video to my WDLiveTv media player and you didn't offer that choice. Oplayer and Vlc, come on at least be true to your self and valued customers. Shame on you.

Crashes relentlessly
Has never once opened fully. Every single time I open the app I get blue screen w/logo splash and three seconds later it crashes. Restarting ipad doesn't work, nor fresh boot.

However, videos like .vob at 1gb size, don't show full length videos on nPlayer.

This version is so much better now that I can finally use it, before it wouldn't play any files at all and it was basically useless, but now it works just like it should. I would definitely recommend this app again now that all the bugs have been fixed.
Doesn't work
Bought to run my movie files through vlc. Doesn't even display file names, no matter giving an option to link to another app to open!

Nothing works. Even after you download the apps that this supposedly works with, nothing works.
Maybe if there were actually instructions on making it work, there might be a use for it. Right now, waste of money.
