Gotta pay

No thanks! ✌🏻

No Free version

before paying for the app, make sure you search the reviews by most recent. Just looking at the 4.8 on stars makes you think it’s still very good. But based on the reviews sorted by most recently, it does not look like it is.

Motorrad Man

outstanding for planning and determining routes for motorcycle touring !

Hard to cancel

Bait and Switch

Worth the premium pay,

Used when in Alaska for a bike trip, found it very helpful

Do not pay for this App!! (And creator: you need to fix this!!!)

I purchased the pro version of the app because I drive a lot for my job and to visit friends and family. I recently asked for a route because I was worried about flooding. I live near a major freeway and the app should automatically pick that as the route. Instead, it has me driving as the crow flies. In addition, all the times displayed were wrong (this is new).

I can’t change the route by adding points (all the points are also placed on the previous route it gave me). I tried just selecting the freeway and despite that, it had me driving along the frontage road. I also can’t drag the route where I would like it. This is frustrating and has happened before. Surely the app could be changed to allow those of us who purchase it to drag the route where we’d like it. For flooding, severe weather or road closures it is important to have the route that will be driven.

This is why I spent good money on this app.

Oh, and btw hitting app support just takes you to a web page, not to where you can send a message. That is why I added a new title to my review and changed the rating downwards.

Not sure what you mean by that

Bad

Lots of work to do

I have used this on a couple long routes. There are a few bugs and some design changes needed.
1. You can’t turn voice directions off. 2. Occasionally the voice directions just stop working and once I was spoken to in a foreign language.
3. Voice directions are computer generated and robotic.
4. Despite setting Google maps as my choice for overlay I always got Apple Maps instead (whilst using CarPlay)
5. The temperature symbols are so big and overlay important interchanges when viewing map when zoomed out.
6. This has potential to be a really good app, but it’s not there yet and I’m not paying for an app that is still very unrefined.

Malicious warning

My VPN gave me a malicious site warning so I deleted. Not willing to risk it.

Awful

Doesn’t seem to work.

WAS good

I’ve been using this app occasionally for a few years, and it was very useful until the live radar was removed from the free version. Free version is useless now. Can’t justify $5 a month for the 2 or 3 times a year I will use this.

Family plan cannot share

Tried many times and many different approaches. Could not get the app to share to my wife’s phone that is connected to family plan and the app shows available to be shareable on the phone.

Within 24 hours requested refund due to this, and am now being told I do not have a refundable purchase. So wasted the up-charge of $15 for annual family share plan.

For this reason I am saying do not buy the Family Plan. The individual plan is great and I love the app. Just very frustrated about the broken share feature.

Weak

It won’t let go of previous destinations. It wants to take you back to them when they have no interest in where you want to go.

Helpful but some limitations

Great to plan and to have it following the route with forecast and actual weather. Only issue is related to rerouting. Every time I changed the route it got lost and had to restart it to look the new route.

Love it

I have tried a lot of RV apps, and I always cancel them. This app allows me to put in my speed of travel and tracks the weather with me. I’ve avoided tornadoes, thunderstorms, and hail.

A huge bonus, it provides my actual driving and bicycling time as it allows me to put the miles per hour that I will go. For example, I have 11 mph on my so it shows me the weather and my biking time based on that speed.

Now I just need to find an expensive app that shows me the bridge and tunnel height b

DELIVERS

I downloaded this app for help determining when was best to take my road trip at a time inclement weather was expected. I found it invaluable and can confidently say, based on my personal though limited experience, that this app absolutely delivered on its intended purpose:

For my trip, WOTW solved the "when is the best time to leave for my roadtrip (when inclement weather is expected)" question any frequent road tripper has faced. It answers this question in a manner unlike anything I've experienced before.

No more looking at predictions across multiple cities and basically taking wild guesses on the best time to depart. How does it do this so marvelously?

The "time leaving" slider. That's how. This slider is he best road trip weather planning tool I've experienced. It does exactly what you'd hope. Upon entering a destination/departure time, a slider appears below your route map. You can then scroll forward and even backward in time while weather conditions on your route map change dynamically based on current expectations.

Perfect.

Integration with Apple CarPlay is icing on the cake. I'm talking it's RIGHT THERE on your car's screen AS YOU DRIVE. It overlays above Apple Maps somehow. I wasn't able to explore all the amazing capabilities but saw enough to highly recommend Weather On the Way to any frequent road tripper.

Or even - well, just anyone who wants weather from here to wherever "there" is, now or whenever, no matter how near or far. Highly recommended.
