Doesn’t honour subscription
I’m not that cynical, maybe it’s a bug or maybe something else. Who knows. I’m just not happy when I pay for something and I don’t get it.
Otherwise it was a beautiful app and useful as well but the above makes this a moot point.
Thanks for reading
Richad
Ps I canceled the subscription even though it’s still valid for a short period but I won’t give them more money for nothing.
Great potential...
Request for 2022. Can we get a dedicated iPad perfect weather for 2022 thanks
Response from developer
Thanks Glenn! Have lots planned for the app, so hope to tick off the features you're looking for soon. If there's anything specific you're keen to have in the app let us know at support@collecte.com.au.
Always prompt for upgrade even after purchase
Clean, minimalistic UI
I used to love her, but...
Repeated, unsuccessful, efforts to contact the developer to see if this is a known issue and if a fix is ever likely to come (its four months since the last update) means that I’ll need to find an alternative and not renew my subscription this week.
Very good Oz weather.
Now I have a new Apple Watch, and I’m hoping for many, many more complication options from this app. (I’d especially love to have the five day forecast in the large centre slot of infograph modular.)
Before subscribing again, I’m also hoping the developer updates the privacy info in the App Store. Weather apps have become notorious for on-selling users’ location data to dodgy third parties. I hope that’s not a problem here.
Finally an accurate weather widget for Oz
Love this app
Application feedback
Also the font is too big on iPhone 11 pro max screen size.
This is the Pocket Weather replacement you‘re looking for
The layout is clear, intuitive, and is full of nice touches.
It’s customisable enough to be helpful, but doesn’t overwhelm you with a gazillion options like some other weather apps do.
Well worth the subscription price to support an independent small developer!
Almost perfect
Great app!
The UI is super clean and well designed. The data is straight from the BOM, and the radar is fantastic.
Looking forward to more features being added in the near future.
Response from developer
Thanks, great to hear you're enjoying the app.
Best Australian Weather app
Most promising weather app
On a trajectory to Perfect
Perfect is fast becoming my perfect weather app. It is visually simple (but appealing), while still proving the information I care about (and an increasing degree of customisability with each update), and data is derived from the BOM. Access to the rain radar is novel but intuitive.
The privacy policy is super transparent and easy to read, in stark contrast with many snoopy weather apps.
The developer is open to feedback, and the app has a screen where you can vote on features to be included in future updates. It shows a commitment to improvement, and as such I’m a happy subscriber.
At the moment Perfect might be slightly too simple for data hungry power users, but it is fast improving; on a trajectory to becoming my perfect weather app. ✌️
Great Potential
Also on the main page under the temperature it would be great if we could display a couple of details instead of having to choose one.
Great weather app
Anyway the app is super fast and clean, has the info I need, and is actually designed nicely to be enjoyable. The app also has a voting feature where users and pick what future features they’d like to get attention. Fantastic! Worth paying the small premium subscription for. Remember that BOM charge 3rd parties to use their data, one reason why Pocket Weather and other weather apps have gone away. If you want a great weather app to survive in Australia, I think this is it - try it yourself and support the app if you like it.
Super buggy
I thought I had found a potential replacement for Pocket Weather (although it has a long way to go in the detail department). However, it has proven to be too buggy and not quite worth the payment.
I will be requesting a refund and will be forced to use the confusing BOM app instead.
Response from developer
Hey, would love to know if you're still having issues. If you want you can reach out at support@collect3.com.au. Thanks!
Not quite
The scrolling feels really off because it's not the same inertia scrolling as commonly used in iOS.
The app also crashes quite a bit, so I don't think I could pay for it at this point.
Response from developer
Hey, thanks for the feedback, definitely taken onboard. We'd really like to look into the crashes you might be experiencing , so please contact us at support@collect3.com.au if you get a chance. Cheers.
Simple and clean UI
The yearly subscription of $15 per year is quite high, but I understand BoM data does not come cheap. A great replacement for Pocket Weather. Great early release.
Response from developer
Thanks! Great suggestions, have added them to the list and will keep you updated once we have them or an equivalent feature in the app.
