Doesn’t work as described: App Developer never responded - Avoid
I downloaded this app as advertised through AppAdvice for the unlimited free lifetime version. Since installation, I’ve had multiple issues. SkyRadar features an in-app screen to contact the developer for help but is limited to 250 characters; this couldn’t work for me.
Therefore, I used the Apple Store “Contact The Developer” to report my issues and was re-directed to what appears to be the developer’s website advertising SkyRadar and to download it - at the bottom of the page is a Contact Option which I used.
I have now tried four times to contact the app developer with no response.
Upon installation, the app plainly didn’t work either on my iPhone or iPad. Nothing.
It didn’t send the twice daily “push notifications “ forecasts as described in the App. Within the app, there is the ability to set a user selectable delivery schedule for push notification of the forecast for the day and the following day by selecting the time but it constantly rolls back to the defaults of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
There are supposed to be animations under the icons Today and Radar - completely not working on my IPHONE and IPAD. You see a half-circle swirling around without loading.
Suddenly and for unknown reasons the app started partially working four days later. Still no current forecasts. Still no ability to schedule the push notifications- daily and next day forecasts.
As noted, I’ve contacted the developer multiple times without any success for assistance.
My OS is up to date and diagnostics have been performed showing no issues with my devices.
Whether for free or otherwise, it’s my feeling the app developer should assume responsibility and ownership for any issues for an app they develop.
There are too many other weather apps in the Apple Store! I’m most happy with the native weather app built into the Apple IOS.
I would like the daily push notifications for weather forecasts to function as described.
At this point, I can only rate SkyRadar two stars for features.
If the app developer should reply and resolve my concerns so they function as described, then I would be happy to amend my evaluation of this app.
Until then, I would avoid this app and seek an alternative.

This is an update to my earlier rating. Having tried to resolve the dysfunctional app, I’ve tried contacting the App Developer(s) hereinafter AD, on 7 occasions. In each instance I clearly described the problems. I also clearly stated to the AD the fixes I tried on my own, prior to the AD responding to me on only one occasion. Their response was confusing in that they stated the fix was what I already tried (without success). What is it the AP doesn’t understand? The inability to get the two daily weather forecast push notifications remains non-functional. Yet, the AD posted an update in the Apple Ap Store stating bug fixes without addressing the problems of which I - previously and after - advised them about. The update fixed nothing.
Given that I cannot leave a lower rating than one star, I now lower my rating from Two to One Star.
Were I able to, I would give SkyRadar a minus five stars.

Ignore this App. Don’t expect any timely App Support, if any.

The app loads but never opens
I get a notification of other areas I’ve been to and stayed at the last location and it never opens. It keeps on loading but never able to open to adjust my location

Not working anymore
The app stopped working and now it doesn’t even open. Nothing. There’s no update pending, but still nothing.
Checked with Down.com and they don’t carry this app on their list, so nothing.
I suppose that (again), there’s something wrong today and I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt until tomorrow. If it doesn’t open, bye bye, because this is not the first time that this happens.

Fake alerts
Several times I am getting alerts for thunderstorms in my area and there’s not a cloud in the sky or precipitation showing on the apps radar. You’ve got one job!
