WeatherCar checks all six weather variables at once and tells you if conditions are right for washing, polishing, waxing, or applying ceramic coating. HOW IT WORKS 1. Set up your car profile: color (dark, medium, or light), parking type (outdoor, covered, or garage), and water hardness. 2. WeatherCar fetches your local weather and runs it through detailing-specific scoring. 3. You get a Detail Score with GO, CAUTION, or SKIP for each activity — wash, polish, wax, and coat. DETAIL SCORE Your daily Detail Score combines temperature, humidity, dew point margin, UV index, wind speed, and rain forecast into a single number. Green means go, yellow means check, red means wait. Open the app before heading to the driveway. WATER SPOT RISK Hard water plus hot sun equals permanent spots. WeatherCar estimates your water spot risk based on your local water hardness, temperature, and UV — so you know whether to dry fast or skip the wash entirely. SURFACE TEMPERATURE ESTIMATE A black car in direct sun can be 30°F hotter than the air. WeatherCar estimates your surface temperature based on UV, cloud cover, and your car color to warn you before wax bakes onto hot paint.
