Wish it had a dark color scheme option
I tried the developer's other RSS app (Slow Feeds) but it wasn't the same. I think the interface is excellent.
Good but...
This is good, but... the contrast between read and unread is too little: dark grey and a slightly less dark grey. And I prefer to read the system font. Customisation options would solve both of these.
I also expected to see an option to display the images alongside the titles in the article list. This is the deal breaker missing feature for me.

No way to set reader mode, no night mode, many sites do not update after being read.

Good alternative of Reeder 3
The latest version improves sync speed a lot, and Slow feeds is a bery helpful feature for ppl subscribed large number of feeds.

Awesome concept, just needs a dark theme and “Mark All as Read”
All feed readers should incorporate this core concept, i.e., offer an “Infrequently Updated” feed view. I have been manually creating something of the sort by simply marking high volume feeds as read in Reeder without even reading them so I could be left with a “Slow Feeds”-like view. The only thing this app needs is a dark theme and a “Mark All as Read” function to be perfect.

Fantastic and underrated
This is an awesome RSS reader and even more so with the timely update for the X. I subscribe to mountain of RSS feeds so lots of interesting articles can get lost in the torrent. This helps to bring up the slowly updated feeds.

My Favourite RSS Reader
I love the concept. I love the font. The app is quite nice.
Weak
I bought this app because it was supposed to support FeedWrangler. It does not. Any catégories created in FW is lost.
It has one nice feature : all the slow feeds are put together. Unfortunetly, it does not perform well.
It also crashes on a regular base.
Looking for an alternative.

Best RSS reader for getting the nudgets
This app has been great to finding stories I normally miss. So many different way to filter and find stories.
Disappointing
It brings in feeds but that is absolutely all I can say for it. No folders. Can't sort to read oldest first. Wasted time and money.

One of the best full featured rss reader. It's free and the basic version doesn't have ads. But you should buy it just because it's that good

What kind of bs is this that after someone buys an app you go out and then put “buy the full version in a future release of the app? I paid once not again, don’t get this app.
Update ruins this app
I did like this app, but a recent update stopped syncing about 75% of my feeds. I already purchased this app, but it said I had to purchase it again to sync all my feeds. No thanks.
Great Concept - Lacks Features
I really like the concept of this app... that is, seeing my RSS feeds sorted based on how frequently they’re updated (slow vs. high volume). But currently this app is so basic (and maybe that’s intentional) there's no way it'll be able to replace my full-featured RSS reader. I’m disappointed about this because I don’t want to have to use two separate RSS reader apps just so I can gain this unique kind of sorting ability. Put another way, I like what this app does, but it just doesn’t go far enough.
Some specific shortcomings (as I see them):
1. No user font or color choices. - The stock font colors are rather light and hard to read with tired / older eyes. The color differences between the read vs. unread article fonts is too subtle and I find it a bit hard to distinguish between the two at lower screen illumination levels.
2. There’s no ability to hide read articles in the high volume list. - Why does this matter? Well, let’s say you’ve got 300 articles. Only one is unread and for whatever reason it’s not at the top of the list. You’ll have to scroll through the entire list just to find that single unread article… which isn’t necessarily easy because of the subtle font color differences previously mentioned.
3. There’s no ability to sort a list (eg.: by alpha/numeric, by date, ascending/descending, etc.)
4. There’s no ability to adjust what defines a “slow” vs. “high volume” feed.
5. There’s no ability to group similar feeds together by something like a category or a folder.
6. No article read/unread counts anywhere.
7. No control over frequency of background feed refresh.
I’ll keep watching for improvements in this app and update this review as appropriate.

I dig the Strangelove reference, but the IAP Full Version is a little bit of a turn-off
Brillant update - big thanks from existing user
Since moving to Feedly, I've been eager to find an app that moves beyond its busy interface. Slowfeeds did that - successfully providing me zen when it comes to managing feeds. While I'm not partial to freemium models, that the developer automatically provides the full feature version to previous purchases is brilliantly executed. Although I'm at day 1 of the new update, I was compelled to highlight this new update and am excited about the possibility of using it as my sole goto solution for shaping good habits that are productive (check a website too much? Add it right into a feed in slowfeeds) and reliant (hotlinks).
