Unnecessary collection of personal data
Itβs frustrating to be asked for so much personal information just to access a conference app. I simply want to view the event programme without having to provide unnecessary personal details. For a paid event, I expect a more straightforward and privacy-friendly experience. Very disappointing.

Paying β¬1,000 for a ticket and still being bombarded with adverts
Youβre effectively paying β¬1,000 just to be exploited for advertising purposes. I wanted to download this app to view the conference programme, but you have to enter an endless amount of personal data, including a photo, your location and so on β even though I just entered rubbish for everything. Even so, itβs an unnecessary hurdle β thereβs no need to hassle participants like this when they simply want to find out some information, rather than being forced to contribute to the sale of their data. Very disappointing.

Every update a success
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there were successive updates to this app which Web Summit supplied, and every one of them was a success.
