User reviews

It’s ok

This app is great when it’s not glitching & loading every 5 secs. It’s hit or miss when you try to cast it to your smart TV. Sometimes it wants to work & play through without any issues & other times it loads every 5 seconds. It’s INCREDIBLY annoying especially when you’re in the middle of watching something.

Update didn’t help

The only site I use, chaturbate, hasn’t worked for three months. Sad.

Full of garbage ads

The worst

This app used to be to clean and easy to use. Now it's just ads, ads, ads everywhere. I get full screen ads trying to play from the app on my screen instead of media I'm trying to play. What a waste of time and space. Bye.

FAQ

What does Web Video Cast do?

Web Video Cast acts as a browser that allows you to stream videos from websites directly to your TV or compatible streaming device. It finds the video URL on a webpage and sends it to your streaming device, playing the content directly from the provider. This process also helps conserve your mobile device's battery.

What streaming devices are supported?

The app supports a wide range of popular streaming devices including Google Cast (Chromecast, Android TV), DLNA devices (Xbox, Samsung TVs), Roku devices, Apple TV 4, and Fire TV. It can also cast to most web browsers by visiting a specific URL, which is useful for devices like the PlayStation 4.

How much does Web Video Cast cost?

The app is available for free and includes in-app advertising. Users can opt for premium features, such as ad-free viewing, most visited sites, bookmarks, and setting a homepage, through in-app purchases.

What types of videos can be cast?

It supports various media formats including HLS live streams, authenticated videos (movies, TV shows), MP4 videos, live news and sports, and any HTML5 videos. However, it does not support Flash or FLV videos, and your streaming device must be capable of decoding the video content.

Can I cast any video I find online?

You can cast most videos that play on mobile browsers without Flash. The app works by detecting the video URL within a webpage. However, it cannot cast Flash or FLV content, and it does not support tab casting like PC browser extensions. Issues with the media content provider's server may also affect playback.
