One of a kind app

This is a very interesting app because it’s the only one I found that lets you put webcam images on widgets. I like the default satellite map, but I’ve also included several cameras around town so I can see traffic conditions, weather conditions in the harbor and other things. I find it super cool to be scrolling on your home screen and see a live image from a webcam!

Keeps getting better.

This app is one of a kind. I’m not aware of any other app that lets you put a webcam image on a live widget. It works perfectly and the developer keeps adding new features so it always gets better over time. Best of all there’s no subscriptions.

Super useful

This app is a super useful way to display live webcams on my Home Screen. I love the default satellite image of the earth but I also use it to check on a snow cam at my my favorite ski resort.

Very Usefull

I think it's a shame that you can't use the in-app purchase as part of family sharing. So each family member has to buy separately, which then becomes very expensive.

I appreciate your feedback and rating. I decided to keep the app individual rathe than family sharable because the purchase buys the app for life. There will never be ads/subscriptions etc so I hope that keeps it affordable beyond the initial cost. I value your feedback and will keep "thinking about" the right price etc. Thanks so much for leaving a review. By the way, how is the new German translation?

The only webcam widget of its kind

This app does one thing and does it well - you can out a webcam image on your Home Screen and watch it update. The trick is to find the right camera URL but email the developer and he will help. It works great and lets me watch the sunset on a nearby island.

I use the app to see a webcam image of a lake nearby on my homescreen. So I don‘t have to use a bookmark of my browser.

Best webcam tracker

This is by the developer who made the dashboard widget I used to view webcams years ago called SlothCam. It gives similar functionality using iOS widgets. Highly recommended to for viewing webcam images on your Home Screen.

Great for space weather data and other things

I personally use this app to display space weather data on my Home Screen. There are a few charts I like to look at to see what the chance of observing the aurora borealis is and these charts are published to the web as JPEG images. I simply paste the URL of these images into his app and I can track them on my Home Screen, that way I never miss an opportunity to photograph the aurora borealis. Its also great for weather data (some wind charts published by NWS), water level data in the river near my house (some charts published the USGS), satellite images and even webcam images.

Just what I needed

I’m keeping an eye out for the northern lights at a place where I am going to in a couple of weeks and I am using this to display the YouTube thumbnail of a live stream.

Please please can you add another optional metadata so I can add the full YouTube link and then when I tap on the image it could open the YouTube app?
Would be cool to have a link you can easily open, imagine tracking the image and then the link to see all the data or more information of the widget shows you that something looks interesting.

Perfect for tracking storm data

I use this app to track hurricane data from the national hurricane center as well as GOES satellite imagery from NOAA during storm season. I also use it to track space weather data. This app is perfect for showing any web image on your iOS or iPad OS Home Screen as a widget.

The successor to SlothCam.

This app is by the developer of SlothCam, a webcam dashboard widget I used years ago in Mac OS. It gives most of the same functionality but via Home Screen widget instead of dashboard widget. I’m glad to see the legacy of SlothCam live on in iOS!

I’m fairly certain that it would work in 17.2 as well but I’ve noticed inconsistently that sometimes a reboot is required after initial installation of an app with a new widget. I’ve seen that behavior with more sophisticated apps than mine as well.
