Excellent App to Teach Chemistry and do Research

I have loved this app the day I installed it. WebMO provides all necessary tools to teach about structures, compare electrostatic potential of different molecules or for that matter submit jobs to server.
The WebMO team responded quickly to fix issues faced after iOS18 upgrade.

Great app but crashes now

It was working fine until I got a new iPad. Now all it does is crash.

Can’t do much of anything

No useful instructions. I can stick atoms together in random arrangements, that’s all.

Crashes on iPad 10

Great app, but the latest update is crashing on iPad 10. It happens upon immediately opening, so it’s completely unusable. I have forced the app to reset, checked for an update, uninstalled/reinstalled, and reset the device.

The premium was a SCAM

i really enjoyed this game and would’ve given it five stars, BUT I DECIDED TO GET THE PREMIUM AND IT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OR ELSE

FAQ

What can I do with the WebMO Molecule Editor?

You can build and view molecules in 3D, optimize structures, visualize orbitals and symmetry elements, and look up extensive chemical information and properties from external databases. It also integrates with various computational chemistry programs for advanced calculations.

Who is this app designed for?

This app is recommended for students and faculty in high school, college, and graduate school who need mobile access to molecular structures, information, and calculations. It's a valuable tool for learning and research in chemistry.

How does the app handle molecular building?

You can build molecules by drawing atoms and bonds directly in the 3D editor, or by simply speaking the name of a common molecule (e.g., 'aspirin'). This offers flexible ways to create your molecular models.

Can I access chemical data and properties?

Yes, the app allows you to look up basic molecular information, chemical data from PubChem and ChemSpider, and experimental/predicted molecular properties from external databases like NIST and Sigma-Aldrich. It also provides access to spectral data.

Is this app free to use?

The application is free to download and use, with the option for in-app purchases. These purchases likely unlock additional features or advanced functionalities beyond the core capabilities.
