Free coins expire which is pretty weird considering they never give you enough to actually buy anything. I also don’t really like how you have to pay coins to read completed series (or watch an ad to unlock chapters individually while also getting adds at the beginning of the chapter as well). It is really cool being able to read other peoples comics tho :^

The only reason I’m giving two stars are for the comics, I opened membership and still have ads also all the comics you unlock with $$$ membership wouldn’t do anything

I love webtoon but the ads are getting tiring
I really enjoy webtoon and have been using it for years. There are great comics to read, but lately there are so many ads. It used to not be like this and it’s very upsetting. One of my favorite series used to not have ads but now all of a sudden you need to watch an ad just to read the episode. Also there is ad pop ups all the time now when you first click on an episode. It’s making me want to use the app less and less. As an old user it is very disappointing.

Dramatic decline
I used to love this app so much I’d try to get friends to download it. The current quantity and invasive mess of ads on this app would now make me ashamed to do so. I used this app for over ten years and have only watched it decline. Now there is a paid ad on every. Single. Episode. Comics are stashed behind bloated paywalls. Loved a finished comic and want to read it again? Better cough up. It’s finally reached the point where I am leaving webtoon behind. A ten second google led me to a platform with better UI, more released chapters, superb translations, nothing locked behind any paywall, and all the comics/manhwa I’ve grown to appreciate. If you want the best reading experience, it won’t be found on webtoon.

3 stars for short drama. Know where to stop. The UI is getting yucker
Unecessary updates
I love this app. I have used this app for more than five years. Guys. Take off the short clips. Nobody wants that. Leave the adaptations to anime and Korean television. And we don't need to see the users comments on the main screen. You're turning section into a weird social media and it'll destroy it.
