No option to filter or customize anything, just a generic detail bar that doesn't let you pick parts to filter.

The developer’s response was: “Use the ‘…’ button beside a section to ignore the whole section. Ignored parts won’t appear in future updates.”

He was technically right, the ignored “…” section does not appear in future updates. However, how useful is that when the entire freaking page is treated as a single section under the “…” menu?

Terrible design, made worse by the developer’s poor response and lack of understanding of the actual issue.

Thanks for clarifying. WebWatch creates sections from the structure provided by the website, so a page without meaningful headings may appear as a single section. However, the section menu isn’t the only filtering option: after an individual item changes, you can select “Ignore this change,” and that item will no longer trigger future notifications—even when the whole page appears under one section. I’m sorry my previous response focused only on sections and didn’t explain this option clearly.

I’ve already been in touch with you about this—the issue comes from that page being extremely large (over 3 MB of HTML), which iOS simply can’t handle in background refresh. Most sites work fine, but unfortunately very heavy ones like this aren’t supported. Sorry the app couldn’t meet your need here.

issue with one page

I like this app it’s light and easy and usually works but lately it has been saying “loading failed: the content exceeded 3M…” the rest of it is cut off.

Simple but needs refresh

I wish there was a more frequent refresh option that didn’t require some sort of automation. I noticed it alerts me about 30 min after a site change has occurred, I need it within a few seconds. Don’t care about the battery, app is running in the background all the time too.

best web monitor app ever!!!

I’m not one to write reviews for apps but this one really stands out. This app is so simple to use, and monitors your website ALL THE TIME to notify you of any changes. The best part? I happened to download it when the amount of websites I needed was free, and I continue to use it for free. Unlike other complicated apps that can only check in intervals that are way too long for things like restocks, this one picks up changes and monitors so well. Get this app, you won’t be disappointed!

Never receive notifications

I’ve never received a notification for the specific websites I’m watching. I always have to go into the app and refresh it, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the app. I can just go to whatever website I’m watching and keep refreshing it if that’s the case. And yes I have notifications enabled.

Doesn’t notify when a change is made

I hoped I would get notifications each time the site is changed but unfortunately this doesn’t happen. I have to go into the app where it will tell me when the last update happened.

Dommage

Très prometteur sur le papier. Problème : ne met pas à jour les recherches et n’envoie aucune notification. Résultat : cela en devient totalement inutile. Il faut appuyer sur le bouton rafraîchir…. Donc autant aller sur le site surveillé cela va beaucoup plus vite!

Merci pour votre retour ! WebWatch vérifie automatiquement les sites en arrière-plan et envoie des notifications en cas de changement. L’intervalle de vérification est géré par iOS et peut varier selon l’utilisation de votre appareil. Assurez-vous que le Rafraîchissement en arrière-plan est activé et que le mode Économie d’énergie est désactivé, car cela peut affecter le fonctionnement. N’hésitez pas à contacter le support pour toute aide !

Eigentlich nicht schlecht, nur ohne Benachrichtigung wertlos

Im Grunde genau das, was ich gesucht habe. Aktualisierung im Hintergrund klappt auch, aber es kommt halt keine Benachrichtigung, obwohl Mitteilungen erlaubt und aktiviert sind. So nützt das Ganze natürlich nichts.

It does not refresh automatically

The watcher does not refresh the url automatically. Background App Refresh is active and my phone battery is working normally. Still auto-refresh is disabled.

Nun Abo-App

Bisher war ich sehr zufrieden. Nun ist die App bei mehr als 3 Websites eine Abo-App geworden. Einen Einmalkauf hätte ich gern getätigt. Seit Version 1 gab es keine nennenswerten Updates (es passiert bis heute dasselbe: Websites werden auf Änderungen überprüft). Dass nun dafür ein Abo notwendig ist, erschließt sich mir nicht.

Não gostei, pois pra ver se a página atualizou, tem que entrar no app e atualizar a página do app. Assim, acaba sendo a mesma coisa que olhar o site pra ver ser tem atualizações

WebWatch faz verificações automáticas algumas vezes ao dia, mesmo quando o app está fechado, desde que a atualização em segundo plano do iOS esteja ativada. Entendo que possa parecer diferente às vezes, mas a função está sempre trabalhando em segundo plano para trazer atualizações. Abraço, Damian
