I regret using this service
I was getting married across the country and just had a baby, so I thought it would be helpful. It ended up just adding stress.
Some details, like the money getting "locked up," are just not helpful, but we were already too far in before realizing how much of a pain it was. I didn't realize a lot of vendors are really willing to negotiate on price (our vendors were in California), but since we had "pre-agreed" to an overall budget through Wedy, any money we saved didn't matter unless we wanted to add more somewhere else under our "plan".
The "project managers" were very nice, but there were many cases where I had to correct or remind the Wedy team of key details that I had emailed them about previously. I never felt like the details would be correct if I didn't stay on top of them all myself. Wedy markets the service as you not having to worry about communicating a lot with the vendors. This was not the case; I had to get involved with each one because I was more responsive, and I ended up going over everything outside of making the payments with them.
On top of the structure of Wedy, two weeks before our wedding, we had a video call with our day-of-coordinator, and had two not positive interactions with them, but we were stuck with them. We brought up our concern after the second meeting, and Wedy staff said they worked with them before and they are great - no other options. Day of they were subpar and definitely should not be labeled as a wedding coordinator, an assistant to one, maybe.
We spent a lot of money, and using Wedy didn't really do anything to make it easier. They complicated our interactions with vendors, provided a subpar day of coordination, and had a habit of overlooking details. It was a lot of pointless stress. I would recommend controlling the planning yourself instead of using Wedy due to their lack of skill and professionalism.

Amazing team picked by Wedy!
Wedy helped me and my now husband plan our whole wedding and it was magical! We opted for a mini wedding of 25 guests. Carrie helped us with finding all our vendors from the venue to the food. My specific wedding included venue, photo, floral, makeup, and officiant. These vendors were amazing! I can’t thank Carrie, Wedy, and the team enough!

I was planning a destination wedding in Boulder, CO from afar and had no idea where to start. I used the Wedy app to find lcoal photographer, wedding day of coordinator, florist, ceremony venue and reception venue. All the vendors they connected me with were fantastic. The Wedy folks themselves were so easy to work with and incredibly helpful at making sure my dream wedding came to life while staying within budget! Definitely recommend if you live in Colorado, Texas and California!
