Awful.

Can’t edit height, and app changed it to metric but left my weight at lbs. it’s saying I’m underweight when I am clinically obese. Downloaded it because it was advertised as free on Reddit, but this costs money.

Imperial

If you have Apple HealthKit integration, you don’t need to ask users to manually input their data. Provide an option at the onset. If the users chooses not to connect to HealthKit, take them through the manual input onboarding.

On the Home Screen, the app calculates a Target weight of 160lbs, recommending 15lbs of weight loss. I see no way to manually adjust this and no accounting for body type… muscle mass vs fat. A lean 180lbs person might only want to lose 5-10lbs or a flabby person might want to lose 20lbs. The app should accommodate different body types.

Also, the bottom section on the Home Screen says that my BMI is “Very Underweight” with a BMI of 12.4 kg/m. The settings are set to imperial… so kg/m shouldn’t be a calculation at all. Secondly, the app is confused, contradicting the recommended weight loss… stating that I need to lose 15lbs, yet I’m very underweight. The app appears to be calculating my actual weight as 12.4kg or 27.3lbs… which would be VERY underweight.

Overall, I’m impressed with the dev’s responsiveness to comments via updates. It would likely help ratings/reviews if the dev responded directly to user reviews letting users know that they are working on the issues expressed.

Response from developer

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions. Here’s how we plan to address the issues you’ve raised: 1. Apple HealthKit Integration and Manual Input: We agree that users should have the option to connect with HealthKit at the start. For those who choose not to connect, we will enhance the manual input onboarding process to ensure it’s seamless and intuitive. 2. Target Weight and Body Type Adjustments: Your point about body type and weight loss goals is well taken. We’re working on improving the app to account for factors like muscle mass and fat percentage, allowing users to customize their target weight and goals based on their unique body composition. 3. BMI Calculation and Unit Settings: The issue with BMI being calculated in metric units despite imperial settings is a bug, and we’re prioritizing a fix for this. Additionally, the contradictory recommendations (e.g., suggesting weight loss while labeling someone as underweight) will be addressed to ensure accurate and consistent calculations. 4. Developer Responsiveness: Thank you for acknowledging our responsiveness to feedback! We are committed to improving our communication with users by directly responding to reviews and keeping everyone informed about ongoing fixes and updates. We’re continuously working to enhance the app, and your feedback plays a key role in that process. If you have any further suggestions, feel free to share them. Thank you for helping us improve!

So this app is true to its name. You enter your height and weight then you update weight each day and it tracks your weight changes for you ....that's it. Oh it also tells you if you're overweight. No recommendations or diet plans on how to lose weight, no accessory support. Also need to enter information in kilos and cm, so metric based. US users will need to convert information to enter into app.

Imperial

If you’re not going to include the most obvious accommodation for Americans, (select imperial or metric) don’t list your app on the US AppStore.

Moreover, any health related app that does not integrate Apple HealthKit as an option in 2025 is difficult to take seriously. Integrate HealthKit and you don’t even have to waste users’ time asking them to manually input data, much less worry about accommodating regional norms.

Feedback!

Awesome app! I think that in the future it should be able to adjust preferences in changing measurement units such as lbs or inches. Similarly, I think it would also be cool for it to be compatible with Apple Health so my data can be registered. On another note, I think it would be awesome if we could add body measurements and save them in order to see the body fat as we lose or gain weight. Lots of potential, I’m so excited!
