About

A clean, elegant Chinese Chess (Xiangqi) app designed for iOS 26 with Apple's Liquid Glass design language. Play against a strong on-device AI, or pass and play with a friend locally. Features: • Native iOS 26 — Designed around Liquid Glass surfaces, fluid motion, and SF symbol fidelity. • On-device AI — Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels that run entirely on your iPhone, with no network calls and no account. • Pass & play — Local 2-player mode with board flip, undo, and confirmation for destructive actions. • Standard rules — Self-check prevention, facing-generals, and legal move generation for every piece. • Move history — Turn cards, captures, and the ability to review the entire match. • Accessibility — Respects Reduce Motion. Pieces carry accessible labels for VoiceOver. • Haptics and audio — Subtle feedback that you can turn off entirely. Fully offline. No account, no network, no ads, no tracking. Weiming Xiangqi focuses on what matters: a quiet, elegant board, accurate rules, and a responsive AI that runs entirely on your device. Known rules not implemented: tournament-level repetition adjudication.

What's New in Weiming Xiangqi

1.12.2

August 14, 2026

Weiming Xiangqi 1.12.2 • Pieces now slide from origin to destination instead of teleporting. • Replay controls sit above the board, so they no longer cover the top rank. • The play bar is Undo, Moves, and More — restart and resign stay behind confirmation. • Status is explicit: your move, AI thinking, check, review, and game over. • Selected pieces, last move, legal destinations, and check use distinct board marks. • Move History is grouped by round, with clearer English labels throughout. Still fully offline, with on-device AI and zero sign-in.
