SEVEN MORE TOOLS • Single elbow — one elbow and one cut piece to reach a point: angle, piece or advance, the rest comes out • Short offset — the offset cut from stock elbows: the angle to trim, the piece, the envelope • Pipe bank & flag — several lines on one route: dimension the reference line, the others follow, cut list line by line • Element lines — divide a pipe, a cone or a hopper into equal parts: pitch on the tape, chord on the compass • Weld spacing — intermittent welding: the tool gives the pitch, the count and the marks to lay out • Bump bending — a large radius on the press brake: hits, pitch, die and checking template • Trigonometry — the right triangle to fill in, and squaring with the tape across the diagonals THE ISO SKETCH BECOMES A REAL DRAWING Elbows at their true angle from 5 to 90°, roll to the degree, oriented tees and branches drawn as full lines.
