Trap

19.99 year automatic subscription after 7-day “free” subscription. No thanks

Need this on CarPlay

App is good on its own.
However for usage should be available on CarPlay. Supposed to be hands free and only need this app when driving. It would be like having Google Maps, but not available on CarPlay. Kinda defeats purpose.

Great app but….

This is a great and dat ma rich app. It would be made more useful if it could be used in Apple CarPlay. Or somehow embedded / plugged into Google Maps.

Love it

The app is great I love the new feature about seeing the boats in the direction it’s coming gives me an idea of how long it will take to wait for it. 10/10 recommend the app saves me so much time!

Will Not Load

Could not start app to test. Said my free 7 day trail period had ended (I just downloaded for first time) and asked for my $19.99 yearly payment fee BEFORE I could have my free 7 day trail period. I predict this app will be paid for by nobody.

Can get this for free

There are at least two websites that provide this information, plus FM 93.3.

Unethical

This information should be provided at no cost.

Cost money?

It is free of you do a google search? Developer, offer it for free and embed advertising?

2 dollars a month for data they get for free

The government literally gives you this information for free on their website. Just Google search “welland canal status” and add it to your Home Screen.

Scam!!!

It is a scam. It lies to you, It advertises as a free app it isn’t, they want you to pay for either a monthly or yearly subscription might as well just get the one that’s underneath it in the App Store.

Bait and switch scam

Offers a free app, then tells you it’s free if you pay for it. Reporting as a scam. You are better off to just create a shortcut to canal status and have that icon on you Home Screen. One touch notification for bridge status from the original source, easy, and actually free, not fake free.

Open to feedback and fixed

Was able to communicate with developer who fixed the app and it’s working well now !

Response from developer

Hi the app has been fixed now, sorry for any inconvenience

Useless App.

The status had not been updated since June 24th. It is now July 8th.

I expect a refund.

Response from developer

Hi I’m sorry for the downtime, it is working now

Not worth it

My app is stuck on June 24 and it’s now July 7th! I’ve tried deleting the app a few times. Beyond frustrating. Don’t waste your money

I paid for this app and now I see another one available for $20. Are you not fixing this one to force us to buy the new one? No thanks.

App for the canal

It use it be free now you have to pay? So much gouging in a world that’s already expensive to live in.

Come on guys…

For $20 a year, one would think that more info would be included. For example, maybe we add when the next 2 ships are due at the lock. Also, please spell St. Catharines correctly. Shameful.

Disappointing

Need to learn how to spell St. Catharines
