Black screen instead of video

Not useful. Cannot see live stream. Cannot see news and weather videos. Black screen for all

Too many ads

Ads before every single video, including weather. Sometimes if you scroll down too far the video restarts and you get to watch the ads again.
Not enough info in many articles. Sometimes they are super short and rarely followed up on. Like, “this happened..,” but no details and you never find out the ending. A free news app is nice, just wish it was more comprehensive for us locals.

Outstanding Performance

# 1

The only news station to watch!! No doubt the best weather team.. Love them all but Eric is the most fun to watch. He makes weather understandable. Especially during Hurricane Season.
News team good also. Reports the news without an opinion. Wish all could to that.

Ok

The app is ok. I used it during Milton and struggled just to find the current location and predicted path with times of the storm. But then again I couldn’t find that anywhere. When there is a storm like this, would be nice to have a link to a radar map thats easy to find and gives us the exact location and predicted path with approximate times. That would be helpful more so than live streaming the broadcast on our so called 5g internet in Central Florida. I ended up using a weather radar app that really wasn’t current, like 45 min behind.

Best there is!

Been watching wesh 2 for years, they have the best talent around, don’t watch any other news casts!

WESH

WESH News keeps me up to date with news in the Daytona Beach area!

WESH2

The best & best weather station with Tony Mainolfi as the chief. All details that we need to know and what to do to be safe during bad weather. Storms, hurricanes etc.

Commercials

Too many of the same commercials

Ads are too long

Long time user of the app. Keeps improving but one major drawback is the length of the ads keeps increasing . I get there will be some, but a 30 second ad is just too long; especially for a 1 minute report or quick weather update. Get them back down to 5-10 seconds. Any longer than that, I move on. Especially unacceptable during extreme weather.

Large ad blocks cover content

The app is functional but multiple add blocks overlay the content causing user fatigue. I like the station and the news personalities. It’s the user experience that needs to be improved.

App glitches and bugs

I have used this app as my primary source of news and weather in the Orlando area for years. In the past few updates it has become extremely difficult to use. When you click on a story, begin to scroll to read the content, the app redirects you back to the main page.
Same thing is happening if I’m trying to change the features of the weather radar map, example add storm track or zoom in or out on the map.
This is frustrating for users.

What happened?

App doesn’t work at all. Just displays rotating wheel. Does not start!

Updates

Love getting updates on the daily topics of central Florida… including the weather… also LOVE GETTINGVTHE OLYMPIC UPDATES in case I miss watching them

News that’s news!

Good coverage, but the app based site has some irritating behaviors. When the obligatory commercial precedes the news item, the app/website sometimes BLOCKS your ability (on mobile phone) to allow you to set view to full screed UNTIL the commercial has run! That means the first part of the news item must be competing with the actins of the phone user until their actions achieve the desired view!

Don’t count on this app during an emergency

I downloaded this app to stay informed during a tornado warning. It cut to 4 minutes of unskippable ads within a minute of starting, gave me about 30 seconds of coverage, then started playing 4 more minutes of unskippable ads. Completely unacceptable during an emergency situation.

Location required

You are REQUIRED to provide access to your location just to use the app. As in it won’t even open unless I agree. I shouldn’t need to allow access to my location to read the news. I can manually add my location if I want “personalized “ weather. I never allow notifications of any kind from news apps, so they don’t need it for that purpose either. Really poor WESH. The local FOX and WFTV apps don’t require it, so I’ll just use their app instead.
