Where to shut captions off
The app is great but having a hard time finding where I shut the captions off so I can see especially see the weather and the temperature info with out words covering it

I am not a fan of the new version of the app. Ads keep popping up. I can’t get rid of the notifications pop up on the app even though I deleted the app and then redownloaded and took off receiving notifications. Very frustrating.
Don’t like
Hopefully you’ll work out the bugs but it’s laggy, and more importantly the new ad screen is exceptionally annoying because you can’t close it. Also, it’s so similar to 22 news app now. Right now, not a fan of the new version.
New internet application
I am in the business of creating apps for a living. Your new app is totally a mess! Extremely difficult to navigate for the average individual. In the media business I know that you can do better job.

Latest update
The adds I get is frustrating and I get a red dot when there is a update news report but there isn’t the red dot doesn’t go away only why it will when I turn off the notifications. Plus there isn’t any red next to anything at all when I look it up on the app.
The ads

Good app, until…
Until you (recently) added that horrendous, long and loud opening “ad” that you can’t back out of. Because of it, I just deleted your app. Too bad. It used to be good.
Not Breaking News
The only notification I have selected is for Breaking News. However, most of the notifications I receive should not be considered “breaking news”…such as the temperature outside or news from yesterday. Please limit breaking news notifications to important things that are just coming into the news room and the public may want to know about right away. All the other stuff should be “trending news”.

F for effort
Too many ads that make noise even if my phone is on silent. Click bait notifications that only bring you to an outdated list of articles on the app-nothing about the notification just sent to my phone. Following on social media brings articles from everywhere BUT Western Mass. With 3 big names on the app (ABC, CBS AND Fox) maybe one of them would care how bad it is.

Most of your Stories have almost Zero Content
You do not report News.
You maybe do 2-3 short paragraphs that report very little but no real information.
I have yet to read a compelling, interesting and researched story ever.
Two (2) small paragraphs and that’s the extent of your story.
Not trying to be “ that Guy” but how about try to bring some some professional journalism to your see and not just a 30 word bit.

Political advertising
Very intense one-sided conspiracy theory based political advertising! One recent “breaking news” notification was just a link to political ads …. No news content whatsoever. Deleting the app now. No journalistic value.

The interface is horrible to navigate on ios and apple tv. The previous newscast is never updated. I don’t want to watch some generic new channel. How do you update an App and make it worse?
Really needs work
For a cord-cutter like me, the app is fine in and of itself. However, you get maybe a minute of news and then repetitious commercials on loop for a several minutes (on multiple occasions the same commercials ran on loop 7 times over before any kind of news came back up) making it not worth it trying to use this for getting anything worthwhile as far as news coverage. Then, there’s the freezing when it would go to commercial break. The only way out of it is to back out and go back into the newscast.
Quite honestly if it weren’t for Amanda Callahan, I’d have deleted this from my phone and AppleTV.

Getting an alert about a missing person, and opening it to then be forced to watch an ad for a GAME APP?? Wtf… Be better than this.
Also stop with the alerts for Football games happening later, and tv shows airing tonight — that’s not urgent. Please.

I wish Western Mass News would hire someone with more than an eighth grade education to run this app and their news room.

Critter corner
Trying to find Critter Corner for 4/5/24 and all it brought me to was submitting pictures. I couldn’t get to the news until 11:10 and surprise Friday Night Frenzy was already on. I don’t have young children anymore so I changed the channel because I know I missed Critter Corner. I would have loved to have found the pictures on the app
