The best function of this app, and the one I use 99% of the time is the timetable function. It makes you log in and use two factor authentication every time you check it. It’s my phone, it’s my timetable, it shouldn’t make you log in and authenticate every single time I want to check my timetable.

App doesn’t work on my iPad Pro

I use the iPad Pro as my main device for education. It’s a big bummer for me as the screen goes completely black when I try to sign in. Would’ve made my life a lot easier if I could have access to my modules from the western app instead from the browser.

It’s ok

Overall it’s ok and has good features but every time I try to login to my western email account it keeps saying password is incorrect?? Even when it’s not ????

App on Mac opens in side view

I downloaded this app on my new MacBook and it opens in a side view only. I can’t figure out how to rotate the app screen. Is this an issue that will be fixed?

Doesn't work on iPhone 14 max

Upgraded my phone to iPhone max and the app no longer works....

App keeps on crashing

I would have wanted the app to be a little reliable. Its a good resource for uni students. However, the app keeps on crashing while on use and it also keeps on asking you to sign in. I dont know if its a bug or for security reasons (which is highly unlikely). I had to download a separate outlook app and calendar just to fix my student email and timetable.

App Problem.

I am a WSU student and this app actually helped a lot as it was the quickest way of accessing the uni portal without using the browser or my laptop as I don’t have it with me 24/7. Recently after switching to a new mobile phone this app doesn’t seem to work and its a very big inconvenience. I don’t know how many people have reported this issue but I would like to see this get fixed ASAP.

Better off using the website on mobile

Look, I can tell that a lot of effort went into making this app, but the optimisation and ease of access is terrible with this; email constantly forgets details and requires you to log in multiple times, and no visible timetable feature. What kind of Uni app does not have a timetable feature?? If they do have it, I’ve spent hours digging it and could not locate it. Basically can consider this optimisation issue as the same as not having a timetable.

Even the info desk could not help with this app. The easiest solution? Just open Mywestern on your mobile browser. Both problems are literally fixed like that.

I would really love timetable changes or just everything on this app and specificities of everything, but he’s this app is great but with this feature it will be amazing.

Unable to access resources in vUWS via the app.

Hi. I can’t click on the resources link in any of the units am a student in. I can access vUWS but can only read the welcome page under each unit. As an external student, this is very important to me cos i wanted to download some of my lecture slides on my iPhone so that I can read it anytime anywhere but .......

This app is so good. It's packed with features that are helpful to new and continuing students. I am amazed at all the things it can do. Thank you for making this app, it will surely save my life

Map

Have to say the new map is horrible. I updated from the old version which was an actual map of campus, the block numbers written on there. This variation of Google Maps is disgustingly hard to navigate and unsightly. Please fix!

Only just barely functional

The app is just barely functional. There needs to be a full rework of ui and overall optimisations coz it feels so unprofessional. Especially since this is an app for a uni it’s pretty ironic

Review

The app was great while it worked. But I've re-downloaded this app so many times and it does not let me access western central and if it does it just crashes. This needs to be fixed because as mentioned it is a good app that lets you quickly access records and emails when you aren't near a computer.
