Let down

There is no option to scan a bar code, AI more often got my plate wrong. Added food that was not there, confusing it for what it was. Even just typing in what you ate was often wrong in calories and macros, despite trying to be as descriptive as possible.

Response from developer

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, it genuinely helps us improve. Barcode scanning is in active development and will land in an upcoming release. It'll give you exact, label-accurate macros without relying on AI estimation at all. Photo recognition accuracy is something we're improving every week, better detection of multiple items on a plate, fewer "phantom" foods, and stricter confidence thresholds so the app asks you to confirm rather than guessing. Typed entries are getting an upgrade too: a larger verified food database and clearer portion handling, so descriptive entries return descriptive results. Thanks for giving What I Eat a try
