About

Apple already keeps a record of every company your apps talk to. It's called App Privacy Report, it lives in Settings, and it's a wall of domain names and hit counts. What My Phone Knows reads it for you. Save the report from Settings and open it here. For each app you get the companies it actually talked to, how many times, and one plain line about what each one does. The names come from the Exodus Privacy catalogue of 260 tracking domains. Where the catalogue has no name, Apple's own "may collect data across apps" flag still shows. It also shows what your iPhone hands to any app without asking: the model, the iOS version, your region and language, the time zone, a few accessibility settings, and the ID iOS gives every app from the same developer. Each one comes with a line about what it gives away. And it explains what an ad request carries, field by field, with the real names from the bid request filled in from your own phone. Personalised ads aren't the villain here. The point is knowing how it works. What it doesn't do It doesn't block anything, so nothing breaks. No VPN, and nothing running in the background. It never goes online. No account, no server. The App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected, and that's the whole story. The report needs about a week of recording to be worth reading. A sample is built in so you can see what you'll get first, and the app can remind you when the week is up. Made by Pettigrew Lab.
