About

Something lives at the bottom of the well, and the well is full of water. Every night you light a candle, drop the bucket into the dark, and bring up whatever floats there. What the Bucket Brought is a cosmic horror idle game drawn like an old engraving: bone paper, black ink, and the strange things you find glowing in colour. Turn the wheel with one thumb to haul the bucket up, steer it with the other to scoop the curios drifting in the flooded cistern, sell them, and spend your gold on a sprawling map of upgrades to reach deeper. STEER, SCOOP, CRANK • Drop the bucket, then turn the big wheel with your finger: a ratchet you can hear and feel. • A little stick for your other thumb swings the bucket through the water. Scoop what floats on the way up. • The bucket only holds so many. The deepest curios sell for the most, and the rare ones glow. SIX STRATA, EACH WORSE THAN THE LAST • Topsoil, clay, sandstone, shale, a bed of bones, and then something that was never mapped. • Faces in the clay open their eyes as the bucket passes. Sometimes something takes hold of the chain. 64 CURIOS TO FIND AND MASTER • A plumb bob that hangs upward, a vial that climbs toward whoever holds it, a page of this survey in your own handwriting, not written yet. • Scoop 20 of the same curio to master it: from then on it sells for half again as much. A MAP OF 110 UPGRADES • Seven arms spread out from the well: longer chains, bigger buckets, longer candles, luckier finds, workers and clockwork wells. • Pinch and drag to explore it. Every upgrade shows plain numbers: what you have now and what you get next. THE WORKS • A yard of up to 24 side wells, each with a little hooded worker at the crank or brass clockwork that needs no one. • Your workers keep hauling while you are away. SEAL THE WELL, START DEEPER • When the well hits bottom, seal it for seals: upgrades you keep forever. Five sites; each new one brings its own curios. PICK UP AND PLAY • Short runs that grow as you do. Plays offline. No account, no sign-in. Your progress stays on your device. • Sound, music, vibration and reduced-motion settings. NO PURCHASES, FAIR ADS • No purchases of any kind. • Optional short videos for a bonus that is stated before you tap. Other ads appear only between runs, never while the candle burns and none in your first twenty minutes. • No tracking prompt: the game never asks to track you across other companies' apps. Cosmic horror without gore: dread, not blood.
