About

Every food app tells you WHERE to eat. What to Eat In tells you WHAT to eat: the dishes a place is famous for, why they matter, and how to order them like you belong. It is a pocket field guide to a country's food, curated dish by dish and built to work with no signal. Explore the entire USA guide free, then unlock Japan and every guide to come with a single subscription. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - Curated, not crowdsourced. One country at a time, done flawlessly and covered end to end. We tell you what would be a crime to miss. - How to order, handled. Every dish carries its local name, script, and pronunciation, so you can point, say it, or show the server. - Fully offline. Download a guide once and read it on the train, on airplane mode, or with no bars at all. - The Dish Passport. Check off dishes as you try them and watch the map ink in with every meal. A food bucket list you actually finish. - Your Dietary Card. Set your restrictions once and show a clear card in the local language, naming hidden carriers like dashi and the wheat in soy sauce. - The story on the plate. Where a dish comes from, why it matters, and how to find the real version instead of the tourist trap. We tell you what to eat, then hand you to Maps for where. No reviews, no listings, no endless scroll. Just the food worth traveling for. Download the free USA guide and start your Passport today. SUBSCRIPTION What to Eat In All Access unlocks every paid guide, for $8.99 per month or $24.99 per year (US pricing; your local price is shown before you buy). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. What's New in What to Eat In

1.0.1

August 9, 2026

Share a dish. Every dish page now has a share button, so you can send someone straight to what they should order. The app also wears your phone's own icons and controls now, from the filter switcher to the screen headers, so it feels more at home on your device. Marking a dish tried has a firmer tap to it, and haptics follow your Reduce Motion setting. Fixed a line of missing text on the Report an Issue screen.
