Broken. Useless.
As of April 2021 the App is pretty much dead. Constantly gives error connecting and will not load pictures or data.
Shuts off
I try viewing from the list of over two thousand fish and after a few minutes every time the app just shuts down! And starts over at the top of the list!!!๐ก๐ก๐ก
The worst app ever
You should never get this app
Soooo slooooww
And to you have to pay to fix it
Terrible
You have to pay EXTRA to use your own pictures
Amazing but the loading is really long
This a great app and the app Iโd been looking for ever. But the only problem with this app is that the pictures take to long to load. And also the game crashes and I have to start over and load again.
Crapapp app ap
Stupidest app ever. Deleted in record time.
Just a ton of pictures
This app is just a ton of pictures with names of the animal. Not to mention it takes half an hour to load...
Lame
Takes forever to load, crashed once as well. And it doesnโt really help you identify the fish you have.
Wonderful Guide
This is a great catalog of fish species with photos. I would love to see it filled out even more in future updates.
My new favorite diving companion!
I love this app. It makes marine species identification easy, fun, and fast. I use it while logging my dives and identifying the species in my dive photos. I love that it includes species beyond fish--like clams, shrimp, nudibranchs, etc. Well done!
HOT GARBAGE
Bought the upgrade because the free app only has 50 fish, and it won't up load. TRASH!!!!!!!
The Best Marine Species ID app
Hands down the best app for identifying fish and other marine species. I work as a scuba instructor and have gone through tons of apps trying to find the perfect one to use with customers and students and Whatfish is the clear leader. It allows you to search not only by common name but by a whole slew of other features such as shape, color, size, etc... Making it easy to locate the animal if you do not know its name or family. Plus it has nice clear photos, unlike a lot of other apps and charts that use illustrations that look nothing like the creature looks in real life. I recommend this app to all my students and customers. It only costs $4.99 to get the full library - which is a great deal. Especially considering a single fish chart for one area with only a few species will cost you double that. Plus, Whatfish has many more species than the other apps I've seen and they are continuously adding to the species and photo libraries.

Pointless, sells photos
This app claims to be some sort of id program but it's really not. It's just a vehicle to try and sell underwater photography.
It's not going to fish id your photos, nor give you a tag tree to try and develop an id, it will just show you a very limited selection of tagged and licensed work to sell to you.
