What's New in Whats2Eat
2025.6
August 13, 2025
This update is fully stocked, well-seasoned, and finally brought the grocery list to the table. That’s right—we’re no longer half-baked. You can now plan, shop, and cook without scrambling for crumpled paper or weirdly named Notes app lists ("eggs eggs eggs why"). ■ Fresh Out of the Oven (Added) • Grocery List: No more juggling screenshots, sticky notes, or yelling “what did I need again?” across the store. Build your weekly grocery list to stay organized during your shopping and never forget an ingredient. • Goodbye old splash screen. Hello sleek new welcome animation. ■ Polish & Sprinkles (Improved) • Recipe cards got a major glow-up with new sections and modern design. • Barcode scanner now actually focuses—novel concept, we know. • Removed expired filter in pantry (because we believe in moving on). ■ Oh No, the App's on Fire (Fixed) • Barcodes no longer crash the app like an overripe avocado hitting the floor. • Recipe import no longer stops at Step 1 like it forgot what it was doing. • No more double notifications after uploading a recipe. One celebration is plenty. • Creator credit no longer defaults to Whats2Eat unless it’s actually us (humble flex). • Missing quantity values are now in recipes. No more guessing if you need 1 tbsp or 12 gallons. • New sign-in now appears where it should. • Pantry onboarding won’t pop up when opening Snap for the second time anymore. Now back to your regular scheduled cooking. Update the app, open the fridge, and make something great. Or weird. Or wildly ambitious. We’re not judging—just here to help you not burn it. ■ Cooking Tip To prevent your pasta from sticking together, make sure to use a large pot with plenty of water. Add a tablespoon of salt to the boiling water before adding the pasta. Stir occasionally during cooking, and avoid adding oil, as it can prevent sauce from adhering to the pasta later.
