“FREE” DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN FREE
Later, I found out that “Free” may come with a different cost: your data. From what I’ve learned, Wheelz may make money by sharing or selling user data with third parties, potentially including insurance related companies and law enforcement.
BUYER BEWARE: “FREE” DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN FREE — YOU COULD BE THE PRODUCT.

Should make the no subscription more accessible to other things

Hey thank you for the review! We would make everything free but however it costs money to run and build and app, so we need a way to generate revenue to pay for that. Our subscription is optional and it's just for some extra features and you can get this for free by inviting 8 friends to the app.
Location settings way too invasive

Hey thanks for the review, we need access to your location for drive tracking to work properly. You can easily hide activity from your friends by tapping into the friend settings.
As a pilot, extremely annoying
Fun app otherwise and great for active feedback.
To any developer reading, please implement a “start drive” button and when I tell it to end a drive because I’m actively flying an airplane keep the drive off don’t start a new one. it continues to ping me while I’m actively trying to land and it’s extremely distracting and annoying

Hey thanks for the review and sorry for the frustration. We actually already have a manual start/stop option in the app settings. Go to settings/profile -> Drive Tracking -> Manual Only

Only one Garage space

Very good
Firstly is the tracker when I’m on very long traffic after a while it’s stops ruining my progress and start when it detects motion, can you guys fix that please
Secondly when I’m scrolling through friends list it’s really not smooth and can become annoying at times but apart from that it’s a really good app

In regards to location, we are an automatic drive tracking app so the app needs access to your location so it can track your drives automatically in the background.

Sells to insurance companies
I would rather have them charge more for premium or be premium only, than ever resort to selling user information.
Other than that the app seems great and it has all the features I would want in an app.
And this review isn’t spreading “misinformation”, it’s the privacy policy attached to the application.

Multi vehicle garage
Good concept, but difficult to justify the subscription
If the app were free, I could see myself opening it from time to time. But based on how little I actually used it, I can’t justify paying for a subscription.
What made this experience even more frustrating is that my subscription renewed by mistake. I realized it only one day after the free trial ended and wanted to contact the support team to ask if a refund would be possible, since it was an honest mistake. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a working way to contact them, which was very disappointing.
I think the app has potential, but I hope the developers improve both the user experience and the customer support.

Privacy Issues!!
Update: dev replied with info on free vision - which I appreciate. However I’ve stumbled across larger issues! While reading the privacy policy I’m uncomfortable with their policy of selling my user data even though this is a paid app.
Additionally, I shared the app with a friend and was surprised to see that I could see their exact location and driving details! Digging through the friend settings (which you can only do AFTER a friend has been added) I saw my location was also being shared!! The app didn’t request my permission to share those details with others! This should be off by default!

Hey our app is completely free to use to track unlimited drives and more. We offer an optional pro upgrade for some extra features (it's expensive to run a drive tracking app) but we have a great free version available. We hope that you can change your review with this in mind :)
