Good puzzle, let down by the story
I throughly enjoyed this game's puzzles.
The story for me was slow, dull and depressing. However, I can appreciate the challenge of making 52 cutscenes to fit the game's theme. The artwork is beautiful and the game's theme is well thought out.
It's worth playing for the unique puzzles which are well paced.

👍👍👍👍👍
This games a lot better now that it has gamepad support, good job devs.
Why?
There is probably someone to whom this game will appeal. Someone out there truly enjoys a mindless, plotless, challenge-free, point & drag style of time waster.
Unfortunately, i am not that person.
I forced myself to play for a full ten minutes, in hopes that i was dragging myself through some form of prelude.
Unfortunately, i don’t believe that was the case.
But, as i say, someone will like it.

Character got stuck
Wasn’t able to walk around after moving some cards and after resetting the level a few times and relaunching the app the game restarted from the beginning.
Don’t recommend
2major issues:
(1)Lost my game play data- saw this was an issue 5 years ago as well.
(2)There isn’t an option to hear the story in different languages nor an option for subtitles.
Puzzles are interesting enough though but no incentive to play it again.

Boring
🥱😴💤
Cut scene’s
What kills the game for me is the sloooow story told in the cut scene’s between each level. They feel so long and you can’t skip them. I timed a few and they are about 45 sec to 2 minutes. It’s like being forced to watch an advertisement. Too bad, the game is ok. Interesting spin on a puzzle game.
Appreciate what the devs were trying to do
But the game play isn’t challenging or interesting enough to generate interest in the story. Played it for 45 minutes and just felt the repetitious game play wasn’t worth investing anymore time.
Uninspired puzzles, boring story, blocks other apps from playing sounds
Its a so-so puzzle game. Par for the course for arcade but engaging enough when there’s nothing better to do. The controls are annoying imprecise but I can live with that. There’s some story that you’re forced to sit through but honestly I’ve never felt the need unmute my phone so I don’t even know if there’s talking or just implied talking. It doesn’t strike me as captivating art.
The puzzles take maybe a quarter of my attention to solve so, when I’m bored enough to actually slog thru this game, I would prefer to also be able to listen to a podcast or a book. Not so. The game dominates the sound output even with the phone in silent mode and the slides for all sounds pushed to zero. How conceited do you have to be as a dev to think that your boring little game with easy puzzles is so engaging that it needs someone’s full attention? Those games do exist. Almost never on phones. Generally, a puzzler is something to waste some time with. If I want to play something that requires full-brain attention, I won’t do so on a tiny screen. It’s three star game otherwise: ok, not great.

Beautiful and thoughtful
I love this game! The visuals are so rewarding and the puzzles intricate and fun.
Fantastic; want to work together?
An utterly fantastic game and story that seems to have no words
how about allowing the users persona to act?

Fun but crashes and freezes a lot
I enjoyed the game but I had to close and reopen it a lot. Apparently it doesn’t like if you try to listen to a podcast while playing. After getting pretty far in the game, it froze so I closed it. When I reopened the game it had started me all the way from the beginning.
Forced Immersion
The game needs an option to allow this to play in a window, comma, even though it actually only plays in a window it forces in a immersed environment, blocking all other applications from being visible at the same time. I don’t know if it’s just me and maybe I have ADHD, but give me the option to at least see everything else simultaneously if you’re not going to use up 180° or more of my environment.

Left eye jittery image
The images on my left eye is jittery and lagging behind the one on the right eye. This issue only happens with this game, so probably not OS or hardware’s issue.
Among the best on the avp so far!
For Apple Arcade games made with the avp in mind, this is so far my favorite. I find the gameplay to be relaxing and fun while the extra dimensions added to the levels gave it that little something extra I’d like to see more of
Disappointed
I was curious to see how this game played out. I really enjoy playing it, however, I get really engrossed in it then have to leave it and come back. 3 times now I’ve got quite far but when I come back it hasn’t saved my progress. This time I got to level 27 and when I came back it’s taken me back to level 13, very frustrating.

Sweet gane
Wonderful game that I didn’t play when it first came out.
Fun but annoying issues
I enjoy the game but if I close the app and open it again it makes me start from the very beginning which is frankly annoying as I was in the middle of the story line and don’t really feel like doing all the puzzles again.
whew…! 😅
i FINALLY finished this game! 🤩
i had to finish it on my iPad as the tv Siri Remote controls became a bit too cumbersome as the game progressed.

Nice Story Puzzler
March 2024 Gameplay Review
Where The Cards Fall is a challenging puzzle game with a touching story about life getting in the way.
There was only one glitch I noticed:
When opening up the game, it sometimes sends you back to the start and won’t show previous progress. Force quitting and toggling between wifi and cellular seems to do the trick.
I can honestly recommend this game to any story puzzler fans out there.
