About

Where The Heck Am I? A tiny helper for those “wait… where am I right now?” moments. This app makes it simple to figure out where you are, see what’s nearby, and share that info with the people who need to know—without a cluttered map app or typing out addresses. How it works One big button: Open the app and tap “Where the heck am I?” The app uses your location to find nearby points of interest (restaurants, bars, shops, etc.) and centers the map on you. Nearby places at a glance: See a clean list of places around you with: Name Category (e.g. restaurant, bar, store) Short address Distance in meters from where you are Save or share a place: Tap any nearby place to open a simple detail screen with: Save location – Save this spot as a “breadcrumb” so you (or a caregiver) can revisit it later. Share location – Send a friendly, pre-formatted message including: Place name Address (if available) Optional GPS coordinates A tap-to-open Apple Maps link After saving or sharing, a “All set?” button appears, taking you back to the main screen so it’s easy to “be done” for now. Breadcrumbs tab (history): Every time you figure out where you are, the app can save a “breadcrumb”: See a timeline of past locations Tap any breadcrumb to view its map, details, and add a note (e.g. “Good coffee here”) Settings for simplicity & privacy: Adjust how far around you the app searches for nearby places Choose whether to include GPS coordinates in shared messages Designed with humor and empathy, Where The Heck Am I? is meant to help anyone who gets turned around—from distracted city wanderers to folks with memory challenges and their families.
