Need Support
The peer connection process is a terrible UX unfortunately but could be easily fixed.
1. It’s not obvious at first how to add friends.
2. When you do try to share it, it shares a QR code, yet I can’t scan a QR code in messages, I can copy the key from it, I can’t import a QR image into the app, AND I can’t bring up the camera in the app to scan a QR directly. The entire key sharing process has no connection between the “send” and “receive” process. It’s like sending what thought about, but receiving a public key into the app was very poorly thought out.
3. There’s no obvious way to troubleshoot anything or see my own profile or key. I love the minimal interface with it, but it’s TOO minimal. It seems that my app somehow skipped the key creation and the QR is empty, but there’s no clear way to make one or fix a profile at all. So my only path appears to be delete and redownload.
I want to give this a good rating and I’ll update if the app is updated. This is a powerful idea that would even pay for. But this app needs to seriously think about just a few core things in the UX to adding friends and making that very fluid. Right not I literally couldn’t even add my wife to my app to share location… the entire purpose of the app.
