Some sentences are like a seal kept for years —
press it down, and the color still runs deep.
Whisdom is a quiet place that hands you one such sentence a day: in the morning light, on the commute, under the lamp before sleep.
No need to rush understanding. Let it keep you company. One day, one of these lines may catch you exactly when you fall.
FEATURES
• One quote a day: classical poetry, Confucian and Taoist classics, Zen sayings, Scripture, Taiwanese proverbs and more — 1,400+ entries. Lines from the classics, Scripture and named authors carry their author or source, and the few traditional sayings without a definite source carry a note instead; most modern motivational, humorous and anti-chicken-soup one-liners are unattributed
• Fourteen collections, including Fitness, Golf and Sales — each gets its own line
• Heart Apothecary: on a heavy day, tap the red-and-yellow pill at the top right and tell the keeper how you feel — poems, Taiwanese, a laugh, calm, hitting the wall, just got hung up on… Eleven remedies, each remembering where you left off
• Walkman: start it from Browse or any remedy and it reads the quotes aloud one after another, pausing 3 to 15 seconds between them. Lock your phone and put it in your pocket — it keeps reading. Pause, resume, previous and next work from the Lock Screen and Control Center. In the Heart Apothecary, five original background tracks (guqin, piano, zheng, lofi, rain with wooden fish) can play underneath; a sleep timer stops it all after 15, 30 or 60 minutes
• Pick a voice: choose from the Chinese and English voices installed on your phone, including Enhanced and Premium voices you've downloaded, each with a preview. English quotes switch to an English voice automatically, and the reading pace is adjustable
• Taiwanese proverbs in a real voice: 77 proverbs from the Ministry of Education's Taiwanese dictionary (臺灣台語常用詞辭典), each with Tâi-lô romanization and the dictionary's explanation (in Chinese); read-aloud plays the dictionary's own recording. The second remedy, Learn Taiwanese, is all proverbs
• Bilingual library: the app and most quotes are in Traditional Chinese, joined by 100 English classics — the King James Bible, Bobby Jones, Theodore Roosevelt, Thoreau
• AI explanations (in Traditional Chinese): a classical line unpacked in plain words — what it says, the idea behind it, how to live it
• AI translation: render a quote in seven languages (EN, ZH, ES, HI, DE, FR, JA)
Note: AI runs on device; your reading never leaves it. Requires iOS 26 or later on an Apple Intelligence–capable iPhone or iPad with Apple Intelligence on
• Morning cards: one tap turns any quote into a portrait rice-paper card to share on LINE, Facebook, Instagram or Threads — it arrives as a single image friends can pass along
• Scheduled collections: up to six daily updates, each slot can play its own collection — and the notification can read the quote aloud in your chosen voice (Settings > 朗讀; quiet in Silent mode and Focus)
• Search by text, author or source from the home screen
• Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen in ink-and-paper style
• Immersive mode: the buttons fade, leaving only words on paper
• Favorites, history, a small journal, and room for your own quotes
• An anti-chicken-soup section for when you need honesty instead
