About
Every place has a story. Whisper Walk tells it to you.
Your calm audio tour guide to the places around you, read aloud from Wikipedia.
A self-guided walking tour at your own pace.
Open the map and the sights around you appear as little lights. Tap one. And a
warm voice tells you what makes this place special. Like a thoughtful, relaxed
companion walking by your side.
Discover wherever you are
A foreign city or your own neighbourhood: Whisper Walk shows you the places
worth hearing about. Powered by Wikipedia, not just a few curated city centres
but anywhere Wikipedia knows a place.
Listen instead of reading
You choose how much this audio guide tells you: a short overview, a medium
version for a stroll or the whole story. Speed and voice are yours to pick.
Calm instead of clutter
A warm, tidy map. No ads, no streaks, no notifications. Places you have heard
glow quietly golden.
Works in dead zones too
Everything already loaded stays available. With the optional offline voice pack,
Whisper Walk narrates entirely without internet, no signal needed on your walk.
Your data stays yours
No account, no tracking, no analytics. Your precise location is not stored or
sent to us. Whisper Walk is completely free, with no paid tours and no hidden
unlocks.
In 28 languages, with dark mode for the evening.

The offline voice now reads abbreviations as words. It says "for example" instead of a row of single letters. This works in many languages. The voice you picked also stays with you when you pause and the network drops out for a moment.
