Brown noise doesn’t work! It was the only sound I liked on this app and now it is silent.
Porn ads
Very disappointed that a porn ad came up at the bottom of the app page. Deleting for that purpose.

Possibly the best soothing sounds app because it allows you to combine sounds and adjust individual sound volumes for a customizable experience.

Good but flawed
I got this app a while ago and really like it in a lot of ways. The sound quality is pretty good, and the interface is nice and simple, but there are a few things I really don’t like.
* Ads. It doesn’t matter too much because I don’t spend time looking at the app, but given the option, I’d much rather pay a couple of dollars as a one-time purchase to get rid of the ads.
* Sound pauses whenever other sound is played. I wish there were an option to override that. Sometimes I play the white noise on my iPad while browsing, and if I accidentally start playing a video, the white noise stops, and I have to reopen the app and start it playing again. That problem is made worse by the fact that…
* It gets stuck on pause/stop. If the sound is stopped, it’s common to get into a state where it won’t start again. It doesn’t matter if it’s paused by me pressing the pause button or by another sound playing, it won’t start playing again until I completely close the app out.
* It only supports portrait mode. Like I said, I have it on my iPad, and when I open the app, it’s always stuck in portrait mode. It won’t rotate the display if I’m using the iPad in landscape mode. This didn’t used to be the case, but the screen rotation seems to have been broken in a recent update.

Used BetterSleep for years until they recently opted to price themselves out of my market. This app does exactly what I was looking for and does it simplistically well. Highly recommend it.
