About
Whittle doesn't block anything.
It measures one week of your own screen time, tells you the number, and then lowers it by 8% a week for twelve weeks. That's the whole app.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick the apps that take your time.
2. Whittle measures for seven days. It doesn't interrupt and it doesn't judge.
3. On day eight it shows you one number: your daily average.
4. Every week after that, the number goes down 8%.
Eighty-two minutes a day becomes about thirty by week twelve. Not by locking you out — by giving you a slightly smaller target each week, and one honest question on the day you go past it.
WHAT IT WON'T DO
No red. No streaks to lose. No badges, no confetti, no comparison to anyone else. When you pass the day's target, "Open anyway" is the same size and the same colour as "Close". The door isn't locked, and it isn't hidden either.
WHAT YOU GET BACK
Whittle turns minutes into something you can feel: 82 minutes a day is 20 days a year. Twelve weeks later it's about seven.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account. No login. No analytics. Your minutes never leave the phone that measured them, and they go when you delete the app. The subscription is the one thing that talks to the outside, and it never carries a minute with it.
ONE NOTIFICATION A WEEK
Sunday morning, one sentence: this week's number and next week's. No sound, no badge. Nothing else, ever.
