Ads are terrible
I understand that advertising is required to make things profitable. But it’s so easy to touch the giant ads on the screen that your instantly taken to the webpage and have to constantly go back to the app. Kcci doesn’t do this. Be like kcci. I never understand why companies make things difficult for users, it doesn’t make you want to use your app.

Very poor update
Ever since the update, the weather temperature and precipitation chance are always the same. I.e. if it’s 38° out then chance of precipitation is 38%. No one is addressing this. Please fix!
All mixed up
Should separate local news segments from national news segments and shorten the advertising times.
Seems antiquated
The app doesn’t play video very well. Most of the controls are very different from other video players. The most frustrating part is not being able to rewind videos. If we can land a person on the moon, why can’t we rewind the video?? (That last part is in jest, but seriously I want the rewind button/scrubbing).

New update
I enjoy reading articles, and the new app makes that difficult. It is so distracting to have a video autoplaying right above where you are trying to read. I would appreciate the choice to pause the video, or not have it autoplay.

It will not show the morning newscast live on watch now. If you get the nbc app it l will if you pay the 10 dollars a month.
App won’t open
I had my news app for years and now it just opens to black screen. I have tried everything. Uninstall and reinstall, restart and open and close. Nothing works.

Confusing
The main page of this app is a vomit of local news, national news and a LOT of paid advertising. I got this app with the idea that I would have up to date/pertinent news information from my state first and foremost....then accurate up to date national and breaking news. This looks like somebody took random handfuls and news and just sprinkle them wherever they wanted to. Very annoying to the point where I will be removing this out from my device.

2 hr watch time for 30 min or less program
I love the fact that 13 news has a free app to watch live news! This is my favorite Iowa News station for the 20 years that I’ve been in Iowa. Hate that it takes 2 hrs for me to watch a 30 minute or less news program! The app constantly freezes and plays more of the ad well instead of the actual news!!! Plz! Plz! Fix this issue cause this app will Be Awesome and Get a 5 ⭐️ rating!

Live news is not reliable at all
I would give this app less stars but that is not possible. I live in central Iowa and have strong wi-go connection. The live version of the news cuts out in the middle of almost every story. It is maddening to try to watch. I would not recommend this app if you want to watch live news on a mobile device.

Rural Iowa doesn’t always get Iowa news
Thanks to the WHO app, I am able to get Iowa news. It’s weird to live in Iowa and mostly hear Minnesota news and politics. Except during the primaries. Once that is over, we will be back to mostly news from Minnesota.
Used to be my #1 news app...
I don’t know what they did recently in an update, but the app freezes up now while waiting for ads to load. So, app freezes, ad never loads, reader is frustrated by getting mid-story and having to force quit the app. Please, look into this. It’s too bad to not be able to get my local news from you guys.

The video player is trash
Tried to watch a video where there were multiple videos for the same story and 2 or 3 commercials started playing and I never got to watch the video I wanted to see.
