User reviews

No longer functions. Avoid this app.

Update March 2023:
Absolutely not-working. Text copied to clipboard, opened WhoDo, clicked 'Create' to add it Contacts, and NOTHING happens. No dialog confirmation, nothing. Click create multiple times and it's a dead end. App does nothing. Has stopped working, yet it's STILL AVAILABLE IN THE APP STORE?? Come on Apple, what's up with this????

Update Jan. 2023:
-Appears to have been abandoned by the developer? Now crashes reliably when trying to create a new contact, and very difficult to find an email contact for the developer. Very disappointing.
---------------------------------

This will be a great addition to anyone's workflow, and provides the missing link between Apple's Data Detectors and creation of new contacts from the clipboard. However I find the interface cluttered and a bit difficult to navigate, and often it simply does not grab the current clipboard contents, instead opening to what was previously pasted there from the last session. And I wish it would appear as an option in the Share Sheet, so it I could simply highlight some text and then invoke WhoDo with a Right-click from the Share Sheet.

Response from developer

Hello There; Better late than never I guess... I just didn't understand my ability to respond to these reviews until today! Version 2.0.2 is current version and does fix quite a number of issues since you posted. Please contact developer@swampdog.info for more information and a promotional code to try and rectify the bad experience.

Works as Advertised

I use it primarily for integration into Daylite, super useful to get my contacts into my database, I primarily use the hot key for select text, or the keyboard entry for getting data in, I often research prospects online and this save me loads of time and effort on getting real estate prospects loaded into Daylite.

Well Thank-You!   Please let me know @ developer@swampdog.info of any issues you encounter.   I'm constantly trying to improve the product.

Works better than standard contact grab 3.5 stars for now

Works better than standard "smart" contact grab that functions in Mail and other areas.

It misses fewer fields. It is not entirely intuitive and does occasionaly drop fields or miss items that show-up and/or are edited in the "editable preview" section.

It may be that I am still a newbie with it.

Also, a bit slow sometimes.

It is very close to 4 stars.

I did not have the issue to purchase as another reviewer had.

Seems interesting, but unable to purchase

Cannot purchase this item. it looks as if it could be very helpful, but pointless if the inapp purchase doesn't seem to work
