About

Your friends' music, as a collection you fill in. Connect your Last.fm and Whohears builds you a Dex — a numbered wall of tracks the people you follow are playing that you haven't heard yet. Every card is greyed out until you catch it. Press play, and it turns to colour and keeps its number forever. Rarity comes from how underground the artist actually is: Common down to Legendary, based on global listener counts. Rarer catches are worth more XP, and XP moves you up the collector ranks from Rookie to Legend. Three new cards drop every day, so there's always a reason to come back — and a bonus for catching them the day they land. No sign-up to start. Just your public Last.fm username.

2.6.0

The Play button stops going grey. If a refresh ever failed, your Dex looked empty — Play greyed out, nothing under Uncaught — while everything was still sitting on your phone. Your collection now survives a bad connection, and a failed refresh says so instead of hiding your wall. You can also ask to be reminded. One notification a day, naming a track someone you follow is playing that you haven't caught yet. It's off until you turn it on, in your profile. If you never got started, the feed now opens itself on your rarest uncaught card instead of waiting behind the Play button.
