Add a free trial and lower the prices
Yet the pricing makes it feel like a fully polished, mature product. Offer a free trial and bring the prices down. Let users explore the app, get used to it, and see its value before asking them to pay for every widget.
You can’t expect people to pay premium prices for a product that still needs work.
Good ideas, needs to mature
I tried the standard drawer, with the Apple Apps, great, just what I want. I bought the widget, but 90% of the apps I use aren’t available, I have requested them, I hope they are added quickly, but, for example, the Amazon icon starts a new browser tab and the link to open in the app says the app isn’t available in the App Store.
I’m guessing it is trying to open a version of the app for a different region.
An option to try the widgets before buying would be useful.
Sorry E, I was a little bit dumb at the weekend and couldn’t find out how to enable health in Halo and cancelled, I discovered it a couple of minutes later… I love the widget, so I have re-purchased it, now the cancellation has gone through.
Update: new version allows shortcuts for all apps that aren’t directly supported. The jump to Shortcuts and then on to the app isn’t ideal, but at least you can add any app directly, without having to wait for an update.
Great idea, when not a perfect solution, it makes the Drawer widget worth it’s money.
Love it!
Would love the option to add an app not in the list without having to request and wait for you to add it. Also, is it possible to have different size draws? (Medium, large, etc).
Update: any chance for an iPad version?
Response from developer
The latest update of the app now allows the first: a one-step Shortcut that opens the app, added through the picker, makes any app a tile with its real icon. On sizes, the drawer stays small on purpose: nine apps in the smallest widget is the product.
Whynot - do it do it
Simpler than Widgy
Great idea, needs refinement
Paid for pro and nothing
Response from developer
Pro unlocks the drawer's extras; the widgets are sold on their own. If even the drawer extras stay locked, open Settings and tap Restore in the latest update: it now says what Apple reports for your account. Write to me through the site with that line and I'll look into it.
Not for Europeans
Why Not is a cool app with a lot of potential, but the app compatibility is seriously frustrating, especially for users in Europe. Around 70% of the apps I use, from banking apps to my UGREEN NAS app, simply aren’t supported.
I even spent €20 on widget packs, only to find out that many of the apps I actually want to use can’t be integrated. That’s incredibly disappointing and honestly makes the money feel wasted.
Please focus more on expanding app compatibility. The idea is great, but what’s the point of beautiful widgets if you can’t use them with the apps that matter to you?
Response from developer
The latest update of the app now allows any app on your phone, banks included, to be a tile through a one-step Shortcut that opens it, and the tile takes the app's real icon. UGREEN NAS, Sparkasse and several other German requests are on the list directly as well.
Intentional and Practical
Improvement: I’m by no means knowledgeable in coding or if it’s an apple limited thing. More so, I would like to see some QOL improvements. If it’s possible to have direct launch into the app, without the need to click > launching… > app launched. I did also see your video on subscriptions for this. I hate subscriptions as well. In regard to apps like say on my MacBook, I prefer à la carte. I think here it makes sense to continue how you have been doing.
Nonetheless great work, over and out!

Lacking proper app support
Beautiful widgets but limited usability
Unfortunately the Halo widget is a bit laggy. It worked perfectly at the start but not it has a hard time to switch between the pages. The widget would start blinking but would display the “NEXT” and the “OUTSIDE” pages anymore.
An idea for improvements: please make it possible to add custom apps into the drawers. I am from Germany and many of my most important work related apps are not listed making it useless to add the drawer. A custom app option would be great which would enable the users to utilise the drawers betters.
The idea is great and the execution really is beautiful. Once custom apps can be added, I’d be happy to change my rating to 5-stars.
Thank you!
Priced to high
Limited usefulness
Great app
Nice
Excellent app!
Please add two things -
1. Allow any shortcut to run
2. Allow any app which is installed to open
Response from developer
Both of your wishes are in the latest update: a tile can run any of your Shortcuts, and a one-step "Open App" Shortcut makes any installed app a tile with its real icon. Thank you for asking so precisely.
ALREADY FANTASTIC WITH HUGE POTENTIAL

A first review after a decade, I'm honoured. The drawers were the whole reason I started this, so reading that they changed how your screen feels made my day.
Beautiful widgets with nickel-and-dime pricing
The problem is the pricing model. Charging $10 per widget adds up very fast. Three or four widgets and you've spent more than most premium apps cost outright, and those apps typically earn their keep for years. Widgets are different. Home screens are personal and seasonal; I change mine as my mood, routine, or taste shifts, and a widget I love today may be gone in 6-12 months. Paying a premium, per-piece price for something with such a short shelf life feels out of proportion.
As it stands right now, browsing the app felt like I was at a museum that was charging me per room. I could see the beautiful work from afar, but needed to pay $10 to actually enter and experience it for myself. While the cost might feel small on its own, together it feels like I’m being nickel and dimed. I'd happily pay a fair one-time price or a reasonable subscription to unlock the full set. As it stands, I hesitated every time I wanted to try a new widget, and ended up deleting the app as I wasn’t willing to subject my pocketbook to such an aggressive pricing scheme.
Great work on the design. Hopefully a more customer-friendly pricing structure is considered in the future.

Thank you for the credit, it means a lot coming from someone who looked that closely. Each widget is bought once and kept. Based on what people have told me, and on how my site has worked for the last five years, a subscription stays off the table as things stand. Once the catalog is big enough and deserves it, I'm considering an everything option for people who want all of it.
Very clean. Wish it was not so expensive.

Glass needs one odd step: iOS only checks a widget's glass support when it's added, not when the app updates. Remove the drawer widget, add it again, then choose Glass in the editor. Works on iOS 26 and up. Thanks for sticking with it.
