I might give it a better review if the notification number on the badge (iOS) ever went away, or if you would pay attention to the reviews before me saying the same thing. Apparently “Gray” isn’t just the title of the media company. It also describes the area of experience the app developer has with knowing the audience.

The new update and change is trash. Glitchy scrolling and notification (red dot) won’t go away even after deleting and redownloading. Kinda trashy but par for Topeka?
Hate new app
So many advertisements. Trying to clear the notification on the app and no matter where I go it still has a 1 showing I have a notification. It’s annoying!!!!

New app
If I could give a true score to the new app, as of March 26, it would be a negative 5. This app is an entire pain in the patootie. I try to always keep an open mind especially with change. But nothing works correctly and I’m about to delete all WIBW content from my devices.

Notifications Blow-up
This app use to NOT be annoying, but in the past month it has become too exaggerated with all of the notifications alerts. The alert sound you receive does get your attention, as it should ( when your volume is turned up ), however, whoever is controlling those notifications seems to be putting sooo much more topics and stories under this “ Notifications” worthy categories AND, I have gone into the settings and have turn off a couple of the options only leaving “Breaking News” as the category I want to be alerted for because my phone goes off far too often and I’m thinking something real important is happening when in fact, it really isn’t. One may become desensitized to their alert sound.
You can check on certain things you want to be notified for like “Breaking News” or “Sports” and like I said, I only have “Breaking News” turned on, but I just received a notification and at the top of it it falls under “Trending”, one of the other categories. I don’t even have that notification topic turned on, so hopefully whoever’s responsible for these notifications can get this corrected.

UPDATE THIS DATED APP!
Please, for the love of Christ and all humanity, update this app! It’s the end of 2025, but app hasn’t improved in 5, or so, years!
For regional news, many people depend on news apps, but this doesn’t give breaking local news, sports coverage that’s recent — especially on the weekends — or many relevant stories of what’s going on, BEFORE those events are over!
Are you really on such a shoestring budget that you can’t meet current standards, or just cheap??
Hire an IT specialist, and more reporters…

Local News Power
I love WIBW news. Local community news is still a much needed thing. It’s crazy how fast the news cycle is these days. Local reports still need a liaison for clarity.
Not Reliable
Since I don’t have cable, I use the app to catch previous news casts through Zeam. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t. Today, in trying to watch the 6 PM news, I was able to find previous newscasts, but the ability to pause them or fullscreen them did not exist. It existed yesterday. Other times previous newscasts aren’t even there. Not sure who drops the ball in that case. I suppose if you’re going to offer an app, maybe it should be reliable and work.

This app could be a better one if it had a dark mode option,not everyone can see the text easily some people have poorer vision and the bright white background makes reading a lot of strain on their eyes. Otherwise it is a good app that’s why I give it four stars for n.
v4.0.13 fails w/iOS 12.5.7
Launches to blank white screen that disappears but is still launched and must be force quit. iOS 12.5.7 was 1/23/23, and greater than 8% of all users today. That’s failure for 1-in-12 users in a competitive market where the apps for competition works perfectly still. KSNT app works!
