3 years later and still not worth.

read the reviews from 3 years ago on this app. pathetic dev couldnt even come up with a reliable app and still hasnt 3 years later. 99 cents for 8 “gifs” which add christmas lights to a still image of your choosing. do not purchase this app.

Works with included gifs.

Apple is literally a full decade behind Android and doesn't offer customization like live walls or moving widgets. This app is the closest to a live widget available on Apple and it enables you to add snow or Christmas lights to your own photo. You can only use the gifs included within the app, but they do work well and do add movement to the screen - which is what I am looking for. Thank you, Widgif!

Did not work

Expected to put gifs on my Home Screen and got only static images with crappy overlays. I paid for this app for nothing, very disappointed. I wish I could refund it 😩

I'm very sorry that you were disappointed with my Widgif app. Please know that the app description states that the app is unable to import gifs from a user's camera roll due to limitations in Apple's WidgetKit library. Widgif is unique in that it brings templated widget animations to liven up your home screen. Again, apologies for your experience, but please refer to an app's description before deciding to leave a 1-star rating.

GIFs are not supported

It’s called Widgif but you can’t actually utilize gifs.
The “gif” part is predetermined animations with low refresh rate.
Otherwise, It’s an okay picture widget app.

No gif images, only frames...

Paid for the app so I can put a gif picture on my Home Screen, but it's only possible to put animated frames on static images. Not what I was expecting.

Confused

I just paid for this app and used my own gifs and they do not play on the widgets. Very disappointing, but I’m keeping the app bc I paid for it and future updates may happen

No custom gif

You can’t add your own gif you can only use the free ones which are like 2 so basically this app is useless

Gifs not moving

I’ve tried two different gifs and they both won’t move. Is this a problem on my end or a bug?
