App doesn’t work anymore
I purchased the endoscope in 2017 and the app worked well with an iPaf Air or an iPhone X. I upgraded my devices and the software doesn’t connect anymore, the wifi stopped working with an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPad Air 5th gen. I think it’s a software compatibility problem that the publisher should address, probably with an update.

It's 2022 and this app doesn't work on my iPhone - keeps requiring an Internet connection. I am not giving this application access to the Internet or my personal network.
If it can't work using just the ad-hoc connection then f-it! That is a threat to security.

Depstech wifi endoscope
I spent several hours trying to get this app and the endoscope to function. Device was plugged into my desktop computer USB port and its battery was charged. My iPhone recognized the Depstech wifi and I successfully logged in as indicated by blue led ‘flicking’ (their word).
That’s all that happened. I was never able to see camera images on iPhone screen. Deleted and reinstalled app. No better. Power cycled device to reboot. Nothing. Finally returned endoscope to Amazon. No more Depstech stuff for me.
Strangely, the Depstech endoscope gets high praise on Amazon reviews but its iPhone app gets bad reviews from Apple. Could it be that the device works well with Android app? Total failure for me and my iPhone.

Frustration software
Works sometimes for a minute or two and then crashes. Restarting app and scope hardware doesn’t help. Restarting phone is required. Worse than useless. Total waste of time.

Brilliant bit of kit
I don’t know why these other folks are giving poor reviews. I have used this endoscope since 2016 with no problem. Make sure you are connecting to the camera using WiFi and not Bluetooth. It is quite easy to forget if it has been a few months since you last used it. Currently I have a second generation iPhone 5SE running Apple’s 14.2 OS software. Bang upto date, no problems. Recommend purchasing if you can find one.

Doesn't work - here's a fix!
The app is old and unsupported but don't despair if like me you have one of the cameras. You can connect to the camera wifi and use a browser to view the image by going to http://192.168.1.1:8080/

Sadly the iOS update to 14 had killed this , I now have just a long flexible pokey light with no means of connection to the camera

Why can’t I connect to the WiFi???
I put new batteries in. One of the other factors is my WiFi ask for a password, and so I put in 00000000 as password and it is rejected over and over again. I’ve literally spent a hour and a half on trying to get the camera to work and I finally gave up on this piece of junk. Maybe you need a really password for the network to recognize .

Is the app compatible with 11pro ?
Doesn’t seem to be compatible with 11pro. Takes the pic but closes immediately after I press on the pic taken. Also app was last updated 4 years ago from someone in China. Likely moved on and left everyone hanging
Crashes on playback
This is utterly useless. The other reviewers are correct about the wifi problem. When I finally manage to recod a video, the app crashes when I try to play it back.

I suspect that the developers have moved on and haven’t updated this app to work with the current IOS.
The endoscope used to connect easily and although was cheap, it was still useful when needed.
Now it is just scrap. Poor customer service in my view, which doesn’t surprise me!!

Simply doesn’t work
Connected to camera’s WiFi signal, but app wouldn’t recognize it. Instructions are in broken English and aren’t helpful.
