I’ve been trying to create an account for over a day, and all I can assume is that their servers/services are offline. When trying to register, I get “registration failed, please check network connection.” When trying to get a password recovery code I get “network request timeout.”
Now I have an expensive network module installed on an HVAC unit that is a total waste of money.

Bought a Cooper and Hunter conditioner specifically with wifi support, but this app which is mentioned in the user manual does not work. This is a scam. Do not buy C&H conditioners.

Update: Apparently the server network is down and has been down for awhile. There is very little support from the app developers. Every time I attempt to login to my account on the app or use the app to control my mini-split, I get the error “Network not found” or “Network request timeout”. It would be nice if Johnson Controls worked with a better app developer to develop the control app for their mini-splits or developed the app in house. It would also be nice if the developer of this app would put the effort in to make the app operational.
The WiFi Smart app configuration process does not follow the process shown in the manual. Steps shown in the manual are not available in the app. Configuration cannot be completed successfully on Android or iOS because steps shown in manual cannot be done in app. Developers please fix app and offer support to help with configuration of app.

Bought a LIVS12HP230V1BH unit and had the WSBEC04 WiFi kit installed. The Gree+ app didn’t work at all so this app was suggested. Using this app I can get the “short distance” mode working but the instructions to get the “long distance” working and added to our WiFi does not work on android or iOS. When asked to choose the A/C adaptor, it opens to the WiFi smart app settings for location data choices and such in the settings menu of phone, not the WiFi menu. If you back out of that and go and choose the WiFi of the A/C and back into the app, nothing changes and it just asks you to choose the ac adaptor again in an endless cycle. I’ve reset the WiFi on the unit as instructed dozens of times already in loads of attempts to connect to it, I created a new WiFi system that matched the requested settings exactly, and nothing works to get it connected to our WiFi. None of the 3-4 apps by this company work as advertised and I’ve even emailed the address provided when I left a review on the Gree+ app and have received nothing back. Was hoping to install these units across our county but not if it’s going to be this poorly supported and lacking basic function as this.

Needs a new UI for iOS 13 and iPhone X. The app hasn’t been updated in a year and seems to be the only app that works with a brand new mini split from Johnson controls
